Hey mods, saw this on X today (its a week old) from @JasonBelzer. Is this graphic consistent with what we are seeing with players we are trying to acquire?

How would they know? Until you can do an open records request to every D1 university and make them tell you what they paid for X player, it's all kinda bogus. PFF is also suspect imo

I agree with the comment "how would they know," but since there's so much money involved, I bet there is enough interest to make a bunch of calls and gather "independent" research. The agents will chase it for sure, and they already know what NFL, XFL, USFL salaries are which is I'm sure the first comparison that is made.

If broken down by position, you'd likely have 4 positions above all the others
1) QB
2) DE/Edge rusher
3) Left tackle (or Right with a southpaw QB)
4) Cover corner

Probably in that order unless there was some incredible talent at corner or tackle to jump up to #2

From what I could gather, this guy seems to be some kind of consultant, and his research is based on those he's worked with. His stated mission is providing transparency to the NIL process, so players and schools can make more informed decisions. I don't know what his data points are, but he says these are based on more than 1,000 contractual data points.

And it's important to point out these are medians. There will be a few on the high side that go well past these numbers.

Think we are above the medians? If so, how much?
