So, he must already have his undergraduate and MBA - - guess he is working towards his PHD now..

Wow.

On one hand I get him wanting to play as long as possible but on the other hand if he was going to get drafted it would have happened. No team is going to draft a 27/28 year old tight end, especially one with injuries and has been playing all 9 years in college. It isn't like the few older guys that tried 3 years of baseball to go back to college after realizing that it wasn't happening in the MLB.

Assuming 26/27 years old, wouldn't you want to be getting on with life?

I am going to guess being a football player at Miami is a pretty good life.

For reference, he was originally recruited by Mark Helfrich at Oregon in 2015. Oregon alone has had 4 new head coaches since then.

So many of us had our dreams of playing football cut short in high school or college.

If this man wants to play as much competitive football before he can't anymore, why bag on him?

He's using every tool he can to play a game he loves. Good for him.

I don't think those things are mutually exclusive. Like, at all.

Why not. Have requirements connected to attending a school or a time limit is "unfair" to the players so let them all stay as long as they want. Why not?

I believe Utah QB Cam Rising is entering his 7th year of eligibility, not far behind.
