Like a manager that ignores things he/she doesn't want to hear or have to deal with. That never works out well. We all suffered for it.

I doubt Patterson ever steps on campus. I would think most of his role is to analyze tape of other teams and our team and provide recommendations and analysis? I may be completely wrong but maybe someone who knows this role can tell me if he gets an office in Waco. If so, that will be uncomfortable for a lot of people.

Mostly for fans. I doubt if very many people who were on staff 10 years ago are still in Waco. If so, they can be professional and deal with it.

I would not be surprised to see GP wearing the green and gold on the sidelines.

In the long run Art was our best. In court under sworn testimony the Baylor Board threw Art under the bus. They lied and deflected the blame on him for their lack of action. The results have been bad. There is a scriptural way to handle these situations which we have not seen.

The only testimony board gave on Art was with regards to Title IX as I recall. Too many took those comments to be broader.

Football under Briles was awesome but looking at his leadership during that time was sad. I can't imagine Art himself would look back and feel the same.

The issue is - this was a team failure, from President to AD to Head Coach.

Have not seen any ownership from Baylor leadership. The BOR was all about deception and shifting the blame. This all came clear under sworn testimony in court in Waco. The silence from leadership was disappointing and arrogant. Sad days for Baylor lacking repentance when the scriptural standard was ignored.

He's on staff.

He'll be entrenched in every facet of the team just like other coaches.

And yes …he'll have an office.

Can you point to where the Board didn't support him in trial? Either you or I are confused. Other than Title IX I don't remember any trial regarding Briles.

TCU people complained about it at the time. Staff said it was accidental.

Which is and should be the job of administrators solely, never coaches.

Schools need someone to tell coaches who can and can't play for them or what consequences need to be dealt based on off-field matters that they can't be involved in.
