Good to hear! There is still a definite demand for unapologetic Christian values based higher education. And while there are signs BU has been influenced to some degree by the woke mobs of academia (what happened with the former Burleson Quadrangle says hello) it's also clear that the university still hasn't entirely surrendered to that insanity as have most colleges and universities - which is appealing to a significant number of people.
In reality most people dont give a **** about Burleson Quadrangle or whatever else former slave owner statue you want to remove. It really does nothing for people of color other than provide some fake comfort. What I find bewildering is how some of you are so attached to some statute/building that you never even noticed until someone said something about removing it. Now all of sudden you are all woke for preservation of white history
Why can't we preserve White history? It's funny to me that people who likely never originated from actual slaves complain the most about removing any reference to former slave owners....you do realize that Blacks bought and sold Blacks, transported them over from the West Indies. (Not Africa as many would believe) to America and sold them into slavery and they were ultimately released by Lincoln.....By your "woke" narrative, then where is the outrage about Yale University, The Roman Colosseum where slaves of ALL colors were bought, sold and left to die at the hands of Gladiators or Wild Animals.
Let's stop with the color nonsense. You want to be seen as equal - then pull up your pants, stop accounting for an overwhelming % of crime in this country (which by the way is Black on Black), lose the "disrespect" narrative, stop having babies with 3-4 different women, stop with the special month of the year....the rant could go on and on and on.....
Yes, there are still going to be people who treat blacks differently and that's on them.....so just ignore them. Stop trying to be the "thought" police.
You just ranted just to rant and just pulled a bunch of bull**** out of your ass. First of all, everyone is aware of Blacks selling slaves and that doesnt make what happened over here any less egregioius. One wrong doesnt excuse another wrong.
"Black on Black crime" is pretty much media driven. Newsflash all races lead the crime rates against their own race. Its simply a proximity rule. Did you 85% of white people are killed by white people? Now how do you think that works for the other violent crimes among white people. No its not the big black man walking down the street that going to kill you. Its the relative, friend, co-worker or neighbor. Despite these facts (look it up on FBI website if you must) we never hear "White on White crime."
Again the statues are bull***** The special month, caucasians created. I walked on Baylor's campus for 4 years and regularly attend events there to this day. Saw no more racist stuff on that campus than I saw in the general world. Never paid attention to Quadrangle/Burleson and dont give a **** about the buildings now.
Black men fathering multiple babies is a mytth that has been disproven but still stands strongs in people's mind since it was introduced in the 50s. Yes some black men have babies by multiple women (32%) which means 68% dont have babies by more than 1 women. For some reason we got fixated on the minority group in those stats. 29% of black men are single fathers but we dont highlight that do we so why fixate on the minority other than it fits the narrative we want to paint. What you need to learn is stop treating blacks as a monolithic group. I fall in the 68%, married for 15 years and father of 2. I grew up in a "fatherless home," and my dad fit the 32% of men having women by more than 1 women. The catch to that is my mom was his first wife, divorced when I was 7 and remarried when I was 14. My younger sister is by his 2nd wife who is he is still married to this day. Although not physically in my house daily and he was always in my life. Nevertheless he fits the "stop having babies by different women category"
Again racism is a part of life. It doesnt make or break my day. Ignorant people of all races walk this planet and this country. I dont feel the need to spend my day bashing this country or drumming up woe its me. I grew up in a "fatherless home." Attend a top 100 university in the country. Met my wife on that campus. We both went on to get terminal degrees and make a pretty good living.
Again the black Americans are not a monolith, just like white Americans are not a monolith. I refuse to carry the baggage of "black on black crime," "dead beat dads" or whatever else stereotype is out there.
