Has anybody started a GoFundMe for Brock Purdy??

I am not a 49ers fan but I respect what he's done for San Francisco.

He should not be stuck with being at the bottom of the pay ladder. Yes, it's a contract and the 49ers took a chance on him, and their risk has paid off handsomely.

Their front office is not legally required to change things, but surely many people would voluntarily send some extra $$ his way out of sheer appreciation.

Seems unlikely… dudes still in the top 1% of earners in the US

The cost of living in the Bay Area is double what it is in Iowa.

And everybody in the NFL makes more than most people--and more than Purdy.

They can extend his contract and give him a fatty guarantee if they want him to stick around. 4-5 yr 200, 140 signing bonus fully guaranteed and the rest would be earnt after his rookie contract expires

The players negotiated the current structure. If more of them were able to hold out, then the terms for all agreements (including Purdy's) would be better. This is quite apparent when looking at how many other major professional sports do not have fully guaranteed contracts for veteran players (i.e. none).

Meh. There was a reason why he was the last pick in the draft. He was incredibly good at ISU of pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. I'm sure if the ISU version of Brock Purdy was in the portal today and Baylor brought him in, the excitement level would have been about as enthusiastic as people were about Sawyer Robertson.

If I was Purdy and I did get a big raise I think I would ask the front office to take some of it back and get better OL protection. I didn't watch much of the game, but the protection Mahomes gets is far superior to that of what Purdy gets.

Is this a serious post? He makes more than 99.99% of the world. Y'all should be sending me your money, because I'm poor compared to him. Or better yet, send it to a starving child in Africa or eastern Europe
