I think we're burying the lead with Liberty over LSU Tennessee and USC.

OU? Where? Do they transition to the SEC or become irrelevant? That is the question.

Yes, while moving to the SEC makes sense regarding financial security for OU (and I guess anyone invited should take it in this crazy new age), we are seeing the results for the short term: the strange scenario of OU not being on such a list but for OkSU to be there.

West Virginia? That other thread says their O/U this years is 6.5. And Kansas is at 8.5; are those playoff contending numbers now?

Boise State may finally crack the playoffs.

Iowa isn't a top 12 team. Long shot at 19. Doubt it

The issue is OU has to go at least 6-2 vs Tulane, Tennessee, @Auburn, Texas @neutral site, @Ole Miss, @Missouri, Alabama, and @LSU. That's hard for any team, and OU could still go 5-3 vs that group but that likely wouldn't be good enough for the CFP.

It does seem strange that Neal Brown was on the coach's hot seat last year, coaching for his life, and this year there are prognosticators naming West Virginia as possibilities for the playoffs. Could such a thing happen for Baylor next year? We could only hope.

Not Everyone in sec can win 11 games

Exactly. That was the exchange for OU. But the short term (at least) means that they get financial security over continuing their historic domination of a conference. Time will tell of that was a good decision.
