I'm already tired of sports betting issues and violation articles. Guess I'll be able to eventually drown it out and ignore like PED violation articles.

Only time I'd see it not being an issue is if they are betting on their own team to win, and just to win, no over/under or spread bets. But even then that can cause locker room issues if a player makes a big bet on their team to win and their teammates cost them the game and thus money. Plus it would be impossible to regulate that way.

You could make an argument for betting on games they have no part in, but that can just open up fraud as a lot of these players know each other and could be tempted to work together on bets cross teams.

Overall it's just better if they can't bet while playing even if there are a few arguments that could be made such as above.
