Arkansas transfer CB Lorando Johnson Commits to Baylor
Former Baylor cornerback and Arkansas transfer Lorando “Snaxx” Johnson has committed to rejoin Baylor after spending one season in Fayetteville.
The 6-foot-0, 195-pound prospect started 11 games this past season as he made six starts at cornerback and five at nickel back. Johnson was slated to start at nickel this season for the Razorbacks but he was facing competition from Tennessee transfer Doneiko Slaughter this spring.
Johnson took steps backwards in all phases of the game during his time in Fayetteville as his PFF defensive grade went from 75 to 59.6, run defense grade went from 62.9 to 49.6, and his coverage grade went from 76.2 to 60.6.
Johnson would fit in nicely to the Bears secondary as he knows the system and coaches, size, plays with an edge, and has a very versatile skill set. He will start off at cornerback for Baylor when he returns to campus but has experience playing STAR as well.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
