Miss St is good. Kentucky is solid. Remind me again, which Big 12 team is playing a marquee non con game? Other than WV who's going to get their asses handed to them by PSU. Yall are dogging on Texas for their schedule which is hilarious and let's just be honest here.. hypocritical.
Guess I just don't see the point in dogging their schedule when the new B12 is a JV league compared to the SEC conference

This. Posters are acting like going 10-2 in the Big 12 is the same as going 10-2 in the SEC while, for example, 2023 Oklahoma State got blown out at home by South Alabama but likely would have won the Big 12 but for Texas being a member. See if a loss of that nature would have happened to the top 2/3rds of the SEC.

Come on.

A 10-2 SEC team will have 3 freebies from high school teams. But what about when a 11-2 Baylor team bodied a 10-2 Ole Miss team? I remember when a 10-1 TCU beat a 9-2 Ole Miss 42-3 in 2014.

Since 2020, the Big12 is 7-3 against the SEC when you take out Alabama & Georgia (because we agreed they are outliers) and Texas & Oklahoma (because they are technically SEC now). That leaves the middle of the pack Big 12 against the middle of the pack SEC.

Quit spewing garbage on the Baylor board. There's a spot for you on TexAgs

Thoughts for you to marinate on:
1. How many AP national titles has the SEC won since the last time a current member of the Big 12 won one?
2. How many different go forward SEC teams have won an AP national title since the last time a current member of the go forward Big 12 won one?
3. How many different go forward SEC teams played in the four team CFP?
4. How many different go forward Big 12 teams played in the four team CFP?
5. Since the beginning of the CFP, how many go-forward SEC conference title game participants lost to a G5 in the regular season?
6. Since the beginning of the CFP, how many go-forward Big conference title game participants lost to a G5 in the regular season?
7. When was the last time a go-forward Big 12 defeated Alabama, Georgia, LSU or Tennessee?
The list goes on.

It has been clear from the start of our argument that Alabama and Georgia (and LSU from time to time) are in a league of their own, but you baboons were insisting that the middle of the pack SEC teams (MSU, Kentucky, Tennessee) were leagues better than the current Big12 with absolutely nothing to back it up with.

And to answer your question, Tennessee is 2-6 against Big12 opponents, and 1-2 against current Big12 teams

The Horns and Sooners have both been pretty consistent adding a legit P5 non conference game for years. Not sure how much harder this year's schedule is. Definitely a little harder but that's trading UGA. Not a Horn but they don't play Texas State or Air Force or Tarleton State. I'll grin when GA beats them. UTSA is their Tarleton State this year.

I absolutely abhor saying this, but I actually think the $$cumbags may beat GA. Lordy, Lordy if that happens and they win the SEC it will be unmerciful to live with.

I think the dawgs will beat the horns. Its gonna be a helluva game but the dawgs are just a little better than everyone in college football and Kirby will have them fired up for this game. It would make for a fun season to see OU beat the horns and they turn around and lose to the dawgs. I'm just happy for college football and even though I dont like realignment I look forward to all these good SEC games.

Checking back in on this....

Texas opponents are 52-47
Baylor opponents are 59-40 (with a chance at 61-40 if BYU and ISU win)

It means nothing …. but still.

SEC "average" is higher than that of the Big12. Don't fool yourself. Records are an inaccurate reflection of what happens on the field each eeek when comparing leagues.

Big 12 is weakest ever. The Briles Baylor teams at end of his era would have rolled undefeated thru this year's schedule.

Not gonna argue the strength of the SEC. But I will say the whorns schedule was a gift wrapped present on a silver platter as a Welcome from the SEC. Take all the SEC SEC SEC bias out of it -- and Georgia -- and that is one weak ass schedule.

We would have stubbed our toe somewhere. We always did.

Sure was fun watching those teams stub their toes but still win a couple conference championships!

Horns caught OU, Fla and Arky at the right times for sure. All of those teams are now bowl elligible. I have a feeling that Florida will probably be good next year and if OU can figure out their OL & Qb situation they will be pretty good again too. Texas vs aggy is going to be a great game this week.

There was mention a few weeks ago that football coaches and athletic directors at the other SEC schools were not too happy with the soft schedule that Texas was given.

This has not been a great year for the resident SEC fluffers. I tried to warn those guys early. They wouldn't listen.

The SEC is currently 2-5 out of conference against P4 teams with winning records.

All of these arguments being made about the SEC's relative strength don't apply to this season. The SEC just isn't very good in 2024.
