Yep to the energy part. Tech isn't all that talented but they play extremely hard and they play fast.

Its very rare for an Aranda team to set the tone or to play harder than the opponent. They are hesitant and caught thinking too much which leads to mistakes and drains energy. Not a coincidence this matches Dave's style to a t. Sucks the energy and motivation out of the room. There is a reason most fb coaches are not stoic pseudo philosophers.

Joey left in that 21 year and after that things went down hill. Joey took James Blanchard with him and that dude knows every player in the state. Thats where things took a wrong turn.

Using that logic, if we believe this is a "paying dues, learning curve" we should keep him. Because what he learned, he will use at his next stop. But, that will fit. He will be a success and thank all the hardship at Baylor. That would fit...

We don't have a Pat Mahomes in the NFL. Bernard is the closest to reaching superstar as of right now but QB's will always be the biggest names.

It can help recruiting when you have former big time NFL players showing up to campus every now and then. Shows your program puts people into the NFL.

RGIII is actually a superstar with having only a short NFL career. He is signed with Addidas not Nike or at least was. Even if he was with Nike, the administration would not let him work with Nike to over ride what they think is their cool non blinging green and yellow flower look they created. Well actually that Lilley created but that they have claimed credit for.

Well I must have missed this Mahone's commercial. But I see RGIII on the Nissan commercials wearing his Baylor jersey fairly regularly this season. I bet if you watch the Texas OU game you might see it.

He is in the Heisman House. I don't get to see the Nissan Commercials here, so he may do it.

But, what we are discussing is the Mahone's Texas Tech ads with the current team, which help recruiting.

Baylor football's last home win against a Big 12 team occurred on November 5, 2022, when we defeated the Sooners 38-35 at McLane Stadium. We are coming up on 2 years. The wheels fell off in 2022. Burned his get out of jail free card in 2023 and Mack burned his in 2024. How many more bs chances do these guys get and why?
