Came here to talk about this. Lance is the only DL I have ever seen defensive holding called on. He must be doing something very specific, but good gosh.

I think the officials had it out for us tonight. Despite the win, Dave probably still needs to send a basket of horse crap via fed ex to the league office on Monday.

There is a website called poopsenders.com. Don't ask how I know. You can pay them money and have them ship a box of your choice of gorilla, cow, or elephant crap to an address. It was apparently a real business, because the owners of the site got sued by an unhappy customer.

Now that's awesome.

Haven't looked closely at the site, but they used to have testimonials that were hilarious

Fans hating on other fans. Great.

There's always two or three guys that come out of the woodwork when we win in order to hate on their fellow fans completely unprovoked. I don't really get it

Me neither.

Don't stop at one. Let's finish 7-5 or 8-4. We certainly can with this schedule.

Absolutely. Might as well get that Morgantown monkey off our backs too while we're at it.

What a win! Sic 'Em!!!!

Houston looks more problematic than it did a few weeks ago. And Morgantown.....well its Morgantown. But this team has really started looking to have enough offense to overcome the non-pass defense we have. This is not a bad team.
I think Houston is going to have a lot of trouble moving the ball on us. They only average about 150 yards passing per game with more interceptions than touchdowns.

I don't think you can line up and run against our defense without a legitimate pass threat loosening us up, and Houston doesn't have that.

They'll probably stress us some with their defense, but our offense is looking like it may just be pretty darn good.

I really like that matchup for us.

That was a great game to go to. I liked the pace and attitude of the team. It seemed like we were a real team, something I haven't seen in a long time. And listening to the OLine interview post-game, gave me hope.

Just want to make sure I mention how dumb the play slow, oh let's bomb it deep play calling was in the final drive. Wr didn't try to hurry up until 30 seconds left, and we had plenty of distance to go still. Had we needed just 1 more play, we would have gone to overtime.

The run game through, that final drive, just goodness. Can't believe we had lost 8 of the past 9 to TCU, coming into this one. Makes it sweet.

Oh everyone saw Spavital's atrocious play calls at the end. He wanted to go out on a winning TD come hell or high water. He selfishly goes for home runs when you might just need a single. Kudos to the players for overcoming him.

If Dave keeps winning games, why would you want him gone?

I've been has hard on Aranda as anyone, but that's only because he kept losing winnable games. If we're going to start consistently turning those into wins, as we have the last three games, I have no problem accepting that as progress and welcoming him back for what should be a better 2025 season.

I like Dave Aranda as a person. Any doubts I've ever had about him have centered around his ability to build a roster, motivate a team and lead it to wins with good strategic decisions in game. The last three games represent clear progress in those areas. I frankly hope we keep winning and Dave is back next year.

Bringing this roster back next season would be the best thing for the program, as long as we have a staff that can coach it to success. And it's finally looking like we might have that again after a two-plus year hiatus.

I disagree with your opinion on the pace of that last drive. The absolute last thing we wanted to do was to give TCU another possession in regulation.

I didn't like the third-down call before the fourth-and-long conversion, but other than that, I thought we played that final drive really well. They couldn't stop our run. The best course of action was to chew up yards and clock and win with a manageable last-second field goal just like they drew it up.

Spavital's offense is averaging 35.7 points per game in Big 12 play and has averaged 531 yards per contest the last three games.

Anyone still complaining about his offense looks kind of silly at this point.

You can keep saying "silly" all you want, Sir. But there are plenty of offensive coordinators out there who are better than Spavital. Your silly for thinking he is good. Spavital is saved by the quality of the players he has on offense, not by the quality of his playcalling. And I'll keep saying that until I see him stop calling stupid plays when the game is on the line.

Spavital has always produced at a relatively high level in terms of points. But his play calling tonight in the final minutes sucked. His play calling against Tech was very good. No complaints there. Tonight not so much.

And dude, you keep calling people "silly." Who the hell do you think you are? And truthfully I think you might be sort of a jerk. So bye.

We don't have exceptional offensive talent. It is, at best, middle of the pack in the Big 12.

And after today, in conference play, we're third in the league in both scoring offense (35.7 ppg) and total offense (438.5 ypg).

Spavital has done a great job with this group. And as the quarterback coach, he gets some credit for Sawyer Robertson's development as well.

If you're still hating on him at this point, you're being silly. Sorry if that offends your delicate sensibilities.
