Ahead of . . . TCU, BYU, Texas Tech and every Big XII team except ASU and ISU
BU only had "Big Boy Football" for 5 out of about 125 years. It was just a blip on the radar, shouldn't be that hard to get over.RD2WINAGNBEAR86 said:

Still playing "Big Boy Football".
If we were, we'd be able to fill McLane (with our own fans) the way it was during its first 3 to 4 years. I mean, without Wendy's type giveaways.Bear8084 said:MrGolfguy said:BU only had "Big Boy Football" for 5 out of about 125 years. Not sure we would fill anymore. Things are more expensive, it is easier to just watch at home because of streaming, and frankly there is some apathy growing toward sports that decreases its popularity. There is just so much more competition for a person's time and money. Plus the novelty of winning had not been experienced by Baylor fans in such a long time. Some feel, been there, done that. Something that a lot of people won't understand, but it is still there.canoso said:If we were, we'd be able to fill McLane (with our own fans) the way it was during its first 3 to 4 years. There have been "2010-2015" moments since 2019 but they are few and far between. In "those days" the entire off season was full of anticipation and I couldn't wait for the first game. Kinda force myself to reconnect from season to season nowadays.
That's what I was hoping that beating LSU would help do.Youre a clown said:ImABearToo said:

Where I'm at right now is that we have decent talent, and Aranda seems to make good moves on paper in the off-season, but I do think our program has a certain ceiling with him as a head coach. I think if we could come out and beat Auburn and SMU to start this next season, it would create real momentum that we haven't seen in a while

You raise some good points. The problem with them is that they don't exist at big boy football schools.blackie said:Not sure we would fill anymore. We finished number one in my power ranking. Does that make you feel better?
Most, if not all of your big boy football schools have big boy alumni bases which can compensate for most of the things I said.canoso said:You raise some good points.
