The NCAA today sent a memo to DI schools providing them with instructions on opting into the House settlement rev-share concept. Deadline to opt-in is March 1.

Those named defendants - the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12 and Pac-12 - are "assumed" to be opting into the settlement. pic.twitter.com/9CvSINQApT

If a school doesn't opt in wouldn't they basically be saying they don't want to compete in sports anymore?

I haven't followed this closely. Can someone give the Cliff's notes version of what it means (I only want a serious answer, not some political crap) and how it would affect our ability to bring in players in the three major sports (FB, MBB, WBB) that we may have been having a disadvantage in doing thus far. I. E., is it a better deal for us or not? Thanks for taking the time for a reply.
