Financially, the Sanders family is good! Whether or not QB son ever takes an NFL snap. The entitlement factor is mind blowing here.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

I'd take him after the draft and put him on the practice team in full pads. Tell the defense to have at it - give them some good practice.

I've heard talk of him going back to Colorado, as his NIL money will be more than his salary as a 4th rounder? This may just be talk (there is talk of Trump running in '28 also) but is this even possible? Can someone go through the draft, no like where they are picked, and go back to college?

For a Christian father to suggest his son make a sex tape to earn money is SICK. Very poor even if he was joking. Sports people keep talking this QB up but the actual people who have to earn a living making right choices are telling a different truth. This player is sliding down because he's arrogant, acts entitled, isn't a team player, and his talent is just not good enough yet. His daddy retiring his jersey was a joke. His father has not done his son's any favors by teaching them greed of money either.

Um...what?

Baker Mayfield won the Heisman, took OU to the CFP and had a 39-9 career college record.

Johnny Manziel won the Heisman, beat #1 Alabama at home and had a 20-6 career college record.

This just proves that owners WILL take cocky players as long as they have the talent.

5th round and he is still not drafted...I don't think he will be at all.

Nobody wants the media party that comes with the Sanders family unless he is the starter. And he isn't a NFL starter right now

Shedeur has some game, make no mistake. He could make a good NFL qb if he has the coachability and work ethic to refine his skills and work within a system. He's a bit of a gamer, he has some niftiness. But it would be best if he were a 5th round pick, not the most visible qb prospect in the draft with the star lineage and massive hype. It works against him.

Fifth round. Nailed it. LOL

I honestly liked Johnny more as a prospect than Sanders, and I wouldn't have taken Johnny until the second or third round. Johnny was at least a very good point guard in the pocket, though his armtalent was mid at best. The eerie similarity between the two is that they both had elite wide receivers as safety blankets. Sanders had Travis Hunter, Johnny had Mike Evans (as well as an awesome offensive line). To your point, the NFL would draft Saddam Hussein if he had enough talent. honest truth is that Sanders is just not that good

Yeah, that really is weird. And I would put my money on Gabriel having a better camp.

They have three vets ahead of both of them, maybe 4th or 5th string

Perhaps this move was made because the Browns caught wind of some other team showing interest today.

Now they can potentially use him as trade bait.

Then again, this is the Browns we're talking about.

So maybe that's giving them too much credit.

The Browns are crazy ... take two QBs? Sanders is not screaming high trade value ...

Poor Sanders falls to the 5th AND has to go to CLE ...

Playing the Race Card in pro sports is the silliest of all the silly race cards ...

Guessing Mayfied was very professional and humble with NFL personnel despite is on-the-field antics. Manziel a different story ... but he was exponentially more electric than Sanders. And of course Manziel flamed out while Mayfield has had a serviceable career.

Here's what's not so crazy, assuming he remains on the roster going into camp:

If the Browns are somehow able to move on from Watson, I could VERY EASILY see Shedeur being the starting QB there in the next year or so.

Flacco is pretty much on his way out, and the Sanders hype from the Cleveland fan base will almost force the Browns to play him over Gabriel or Pickett.

This is a franchise that hasn't seen a conference title game in 35 years.

They are absolutely looking for a miracle to unfold.

And like him or not, Shedeur does bring that excitement and electricity to the game that many QB's simply can't. And to Browns fans, they'll see that as a glimmer of hope.

This move should make for interesting conversations on the Monday morning sports radio and talk shows.
