I'm going to predict we learn a lot more about our backup quarterback situation in that one.

Should someone tell Dave not to play Sawyer the entire game then? Samford is awful.

I did not remember that. I thought this was about the time Eric Dickerson made the controversial remarks that SMU needed to drop football. Maybe that was a couple of years later.

The 2012 team was one of the June Jones teams with Garrett Gilbert at quarterback. They were pretty decent offensively.

Happy for the win; we need it.

Played a talented team with a talented, veteran QB. But I'm not convinced they're a Top 20 team. They may very well win 9-10 games this year still, as their schedule is total A$$ aside from Miami and Clemson.

Time to come home and get some rest, then rep the basics over and over again against a team you'll blow out in prep for ASU. Lot of potential for growth and maturation. If we hope to win 10-11 games, they will HAVE to grow-up more.
