It has been almost 24 hours since this news came out. I don't really see a lot of uproar on social media. I guess enough time has passed where this isn't stirring things up.

What Baylor football needs right now isn't Art Briles, but rather full buy-in from our wealthiest alumni. Their collective clout and resources are a massive part of why Art succeeded here, and their potential benefaction is huge part of why Matt Rhule, Joey McGuire, and Dave Aranda all wanted to be coaches here.

Ah, OK, so that's LInda's brilliant secret plan. Keep Aranda for another year while Art gets a foot back in the door of college football.
Hmmmmm...

If you're Briles, and Baylor backed up the money truck, would you come back here?

I'm sure at the very least he would have some…how do we say…trust issues with the Baylor leadership.
I think he would not want to get into an employment arrangement with them again.

Congrats to Art Briles. The media coverage of him at Baylor was shameful. https://t.co/IZvRkwK26E

Nobody cares anymore except you handful of Circle~Jerks still, 10 years later, self-flagellating yourselves into orgasmic self punishment! Share the pain boys. Internalize that deep seated blame and flog away.
"They may feel unable to move forward without experiencing some form of self-punishment for perceived shortcomings!"

Carry on you little bear cubs.

I wonder what season tickets cost? It might be doable and donate them to a local charity.

No, you and many other circle jerk experts continue to read my factual warnings about this horrible psychological millstone you boys have taken on.

We finally got relief, and for absolutely no good reason a dysfunctional administration blew it up.

There's absolutely no "horrible psychological millstone" we've taken on.
UNT 52, Baylor 14 was a millstone.
UAB - a school that went on to cancel its football program for a while - 56, Baylor 14 was a millstone.
A&M 73, Baylor 10 was a millstone.
That pair of 62-0 losses to Texas were millstones.
Remember the phrase "Cal scores again." May it haunt your dreams. Some of you had selective memories.
Baylor Bear Football teams spent the better part of a decade humiliating the institution every time they stepped on to a football field. We stuck around through that. We finally got relief, and for absolutely no good reason a dysfunctional administration blew it up.

Pretty amazing how a very large private school with lots of successful alumni that is located smack dab in the center of some of the best football recruiting grounds in America could be so bad at football for so many decades
And not like get beat by ut-Austin bad….but like get beat by 3rd tier programs from other states who close down their own football programs bad

So, 50-50 means Dave is right on target for Baylor football.
How many of you Circle Boys crying like little girls 10 years later came to Baylor for its football program?
I'm one of the very limited posters on here that really did come to Baylor because of the football program. I'm not crying.

Did you come to Baylor/Waco for football? If you did you got what you deserved.
