Oh man . I usually don't have time for this level interaction, but your response is classic. AB was in Waco October 30 and about 40 or more of his former players showed up and absolutely love him. I've met two who played for GT over the last five years and they love Briles and can't stand Coach Mouse.
Briles' players love him. Just ask Petty who was there with him. Ask Terrence Ganaway.
Then some idiot named Knuckles will come on here and say "ok, about the whole rape scandal thing ... well, Johnny Jefferson was a drug addict."
It is TDS level bizarro impressionistic nonsense.
lmao. Tim Tebow says nothing but nice things about scumbag Urban Meyer. weak ****, Bob.
How about the rain in Spain? Does that fall mainly on the plain?
you've routinely dismissed the LOIC finding and its relevance to Briles' firing (and the JJ situation speaks directly to those problems)...so I guess I can't truly call this response a non sequitor because it does track, at least with your track record of poorly constructed apologia for your pal Art.

Uh huh. "Okay, the whole rape scandal may have been overblown, but somebody was on drugs!" is nonsense bordering on mental illness.
What LOIC finding? The one that was ultimately not upheld? I can find a trove of articles from 2021 saying the NCAA did not find lack of institutional control against Baylor or Briles because (i) sexual assault reporting issues were campus-wide and (ii) the NCAA was reluctant to punish Baylor for the misbehavior of certain of its regents.

Baylor skated an "official finding" of LOIC, that's true. The investigation committee literally stated that only technicalities prevented them from hammering Baylor, per all the reporting you're talking about, with this prototypical example from ESPN: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/30518346/baylor-bears-officials-scheduled-appear-ncaa-committee-infractions-sexual-assault-scandal
The NCAA found that Briles ran a terrible program but literally had effectively skirted the rules. But you're out here calling other people mentally ill idiots for pointing that out? You're funny, Bob. Probably a very effective laywer too.

Did you tell the NCAA investigators "but but but but but JJ was a drug addict...?" If you had, surely they'd have thrown the book at us.
So no LOIC, no show cause for Briles, Baylor skated with some pretty light penalties despite the NCAA spanking the school for its general SA reporting failures ... the closest we got to LOIC was based on BOR members...
But good thing some imbeciles that share your precision of thought, ie. that of a rusty meat cleaver, put a bullet in our program's head.

That was literally the first article that pulled up…and again your dime store lawyering here is funny.
The investigative committee literally included in their statement clear language proclaiming his ethical failings as very real but beyond the scope of their powers to punish. That alone was enough to fire him for cause based on Baylor's conduct policy for staff & faculty.
None of that is "borderline mentally ill conjecture", but feel free to rage on defending your buddy, Bob.
Enjoy the Greyhounds season!

This is exactly the problem that we have with you and your view on Briles. You feel like you have to defend those teams when we celebrate them too. Yeah, we hate the San Jose loss, but our disappointment is probably not near the heartache that you and other members of the team had.
The problem is that you see any success afterwards as tearing down those teams. You have made it clear you did not like Art because he didn't engage you as a past player in the way you thought he should. Due to that you feel like your success was overshadowed and you don't like it. This is why you try to tear him down. You blindly supported the board tearing down CAB because you didn't like him, instead of looking critically at the information out there.

Let me help you nimrod.
It's better to post the following:
Baylor played Alabama in 1979 & 1981.
In '79, in Birmingham, the Bears lost to Alabama 0-45.
In '81, in Dallas, the Bears lost to Alabama 2-30.
Baylor has lost back-to-back games to Alabama by the combined score of 2-75.
Use that in your future attempts at disparaging Baylor Football prior to you savior arriving in 2012. Don't count 2008-2011.

BS! My "problem" with Art you mention above started at a BU golf outing where upon meeting him again for the first time in 32 years he clammed up and refused to acknowlwedge a small crime I witnessed him commit during my University of Houston recruiting visit. He became very distant when I told the story in front of a small group at the golf outing.. One other thing happened that December weekend in 1976 in Houston that caused me alarm. I refuse to go into details but that was the reason I stayed away and refused myself to "engage".

Or better yet. Every time he feels the need to remind people he played at Bu 50 freaking years ago. As if anyone gives a ****
No need to remind anyone. You all know. It was 45 years ago to be more precise.
You remember.
The first Baylor team to win 10 games during an era when there were only 11 games.
A defense that gave up only 7 TDs in the entire conference games instead of 10 in one f'ing game!
A defense that held 4 teams to under 175 yards of total offense.
A defense that held TCU to 16 yards of rushing O.
A defense that held Texas Tech to -36 yards of rushing O. Yes, minus 36 yards.
A defense that held UT to 35 yards of rushing O. That was on 40 carries.
A defense that held A&M to 92 yards of rushing O.
As Donald likes to say.............."you haven't seen anything like it in the history of the world!
True Baylor fans give a ****. That team went 8-0 in conference play. Nobody tied us. We didn't have to pray for another team to win so we could be called conference champs.

You guys are the ones playing the comparison card because I am blowing your apology tour away in every conceivable, pitiful excuse or comparison you can come up with. Go back and re-read the acknowledged sickness you boys have had for years. Y'all don't care about the team. Y'all are all grabbing your tampons and trying to prop up Briles. 10 years of FAILURE!
Finally, after settling for a pitiful high school gig and then some foreign, international joke, he lands a whopper. Division II in Portales, New Mexico. Who knew Portales had a TSTI clone? Mascot? Name of the welding/agricultural school?
You guys are similar to the UT marketing machine still trying to get us to believe little Archie is Heisman worthy.
It's in the record books. Go look. We did not lose a conference game much less get blown out by OSU and WV. We did not have a CO-Championship. We won all of our games no matter how bad a few teams were.
'We did not have to pray for a team to lose on the final week of the season to give us our title.
I am content and never waste time re-playing anything in my mind. I don't cry about the SanJose loss or the Alabama mauling. The most talented team I played on was the 3-8 Baylor team of 1978.
You boys are fighting a losing battle. Please, do yourselves and everyone on SicEm a favor and turn that Baylor green into Greyhound green.
