Undefeated. Aranda gets a new 7 year extension. In year two, we're all frustrated, again.

0-12 (Prarie View A&M finds a way to beat us)
1-11 (Prarie View A&M)
2-10 (Prarie View A&M and Kansas)
3-9 (Prarie View A&M, Kansas, and UCF would be a wildly successful season)

I don't think people have internalized how devoid of talent next year's team is going to be. The overwhelming majority of our offensive production is going to be gone, which means more 3 and outs and more minutes played by our stellar defense. The cavalry (either through recruiting or the portal) isn't riding to the rescue of a lame duck staff. And Dave certainly isn't developing whatever names are left on the roster.

Starting with CU its just a list of teams they'll play not the actual order (they're not playing 4 straight home games followed by 4 straight road games).

They expect us to bring tens of thousands of fans?

We'll have to see how things shake up, but I expect 2 wins at minimum (PV A&M, then we steal one against Colorado, Kansas, or UCF). I can't see us winning more than 4 games, and even that would require a big upset against SMU or TCU or someone like that.

Maybe my guess will change as we get closer to the season, but I'm just not sure where any improvement comes from when we're losing most of our offense and the handful of positive contributors on a putrid defense.

Sure, you can always improve in the portal, but with the administration (stupidly) signaling that Aranda is essentially an interim next year, I don't think you're getting quality contributors like we had this year. You also can't bank on our current defensive personnel being developed at all, given the past six years.

I feel pretty good about Prairie View. Other than that, I'm not sure.

I wish we could get that scheduled as the first game to give the new qbs some game time before playing the bigger deal teams.

My predictions. We go 1-11 and squeak out a triple OT win over Prairie View. Dave reaches out to Sicem 365 posters in August looking for some bodies since he can find any players in the portal.

Looking forward to who Baylor dredges up with a big NIL deal for a G5 qb that's the next great phenom, to see him steal a starting spot away from one of our younger guys. Only to find out later he isn't that good and we wasted talent on the bench again.

That is my thought too. And some of the recruits are thinking the same. Ms Livingston really screwed the pooch on this one.

Agree with this assessment. And if we somehow hit the 4-8 ceiling it'll mean we beat at least 2 teams that we shouldn't have. My off season apathy about next year is on par with the off season apathy I felt for most of the 11 years between Reedy and Briles.

3 wins. And we get hosed again with early season scorchers 99 degree heat.

Prairie View--win (but there are quite a few games in our past that indicate we can't necessarily pencil this one in)
Colorado--they weren't that good this year. Winnable.
at Houston--coulda, woulda, shoulda this year. I don't think we will, but it is the most winnable of the ones I don't think we win.
at Kansas--they aren't that good. Winnable.
at UCF--they have not been good for a few years now. Winnable.

3-9 or 4-8 with a new staff scratching and clawing to rebuild.
1-11 otherwise.

Those were the 4 I had in mind. No chance of a 5 on that list. Particularly Houston.
