Maybe Baylor has Jeremiah Dicky locked down, but they don't want to say anything until the season is over so they don't mess up Boise State momentum. These other schools don't really care, but Baylor probably doesn't want the negative press. Pipe dream I'm sure.

Boise St looks good. Head coach and AD to Baylor. Package deal.

I was hoping for someone with more of a track record than Danielson since the consequences of getting this wrong probably means being left out of the next round of realignment and becoming a G5 program..

Danielson took over late in 2023 and went 3-1, 2-0 in conference play with wins over Utah State (45-10), Air Force (27-19), UNLV in the CCG (45-20) before losing to UCLA in the Starco Brands LA Bowl 35-22. 2024 was a good year, they went 8-0 in conference play and 12-2 overall with a close loss to Oregon and a loss to Penn State in the bowl game.

Ashton Jeanty was running the ball for both those teams.

He's gone in 2025 and they are 6-2 in the Mountain West, and 8-4 overall with big losses to USF, Notre Dame, and Fresno State with the fourth loss being a 17-7 loss to San Diego State.

Have to wonder if this would be like hiring Aranda in 2022.

Probably not...but it might take a little shine off if they get absolutely waxed in their 2 losses.

UNTs toughest 2 opponents this year (by a wide margin) absolutely destroyed them, I'm a little hesitant to crown Morris

You don't win games with 4 turnovers. Period.

Now that Tulane has clinched the G5 spot, what specific chaos are we hoping for today?

Georgia to beat Alabama and give them their third loss is an obvious one.

Duke vs Virginia?

Tech vs BYU? I have to think a Tech win.

I think Ohio State is going to handle IU fairly easily.

There's not much chaos possible. GA/Bama/IU/OSU are all in regardless. Winner of Tech/BYU is in. Loser is out, the only chaos possible is Duke winning. That puts JMU in

Bama is likely out with a loss today.

Miami stands a good chance of replacing them if they lose.

Bama will have 3 losses to Miami's 2 losses, and the Canes will have the edge over them when it comes to common opponents.

Miami beat FSU.

Bama lost to FSU.

Punishing Bama for playing in a conference title game would be silly imo. Miami deserves in but not over Bama. They deserve to be in over ND. ND in is laughable

Well, then take away Bana's game this week, and they still have the same record as Miami (10-2).

And that ridiculous double digit loss to FSU would still be on their resume.

If we're going to elevate A&M for their win over Notre Dame, then the same should be done for Miami.

Also, this is not the Bama of old. They've struggled recently against 4-8 South Carolina, 7-5 LSU, and 5-7 Auburn. Two of those games were against teams who had fired their coaches.

While the Georgia victory is nice, they'll need to beat them again, imo.

If it's a really close loss, then they might stay in.

But if they lose by double digits, then it's almost guaranteed they'll be left out.

Having said that, Georgia will probably find a way to keep the game close or flat-out lose to them.

Outside of that title game a few years back, Georgia always does its best to help out Bama and make them look good.

Notre Dame is basically a shoe-in.

They've actually looked the part of a playoff contender for the last 2 1/2 months.

No bad losses, and solid wins against the MWC champ (Boise St), USC, Pitt, and Navy.

Waxed Arkansas worse than any other SEC team as well, by far (43 points). Ole Miss, A&M, and Tennessee all barely scraped by the Hogs (1-score games).

Bama, on the other hand, is much more vulnerable.

Should Bama lay an egg against Georgia today, and lose by 2+ scores, then you'll likely get half your wish.

Pulling for Tech today.

They'll actually have a chance to make some noise in the CFP, as they'll have a first round bye with a win.

Plus, they have an offense that will keep them in most games.

BYU would likely be a one and done team.

Plus, I could see Tech getting left out altogether with a loss.

So I'd rather see them represent the conference when it's all said and done.

Interesting. The College Gameday folks felt that if BYU wins then both BYU and Tech would get in. BYU auto in as conference champ and them Tech in over ND.

They also felt at the end of the day when final CFP meets and it comes down to ND or Miami in that last spot, Miami would get the nod based on head-to-head.

I don't care who wins. I just want justice served, and this BYU team 100 percent deserves a spot in the CFP.

Not only is that a really good football team, it's significantly better and more deserving than the SMU team that got in with the same regular-season record last year.

Can't help but see how much better the execution and fundamentals are with these two teams than Bu.

Consistently sound gap fills, aggressive pass rush while keeping contain, lbs and safeties actually seeing the field and taking good angles.
