Yep and to the poster who said it has Stanton vibes I say yep to you. As I have said I have seen this movie before and so wanted them to not go the quick route to appease the restless natives. The BSU guy type of hire would have taken into January or so logistically get done. That type of move is what they needed to take their time on and get done.

Yeah….mediocrity under Dave is better that total darkness these folks will bring you. Trust those of us who have been around the block a lot with Baylor. I have not felt this bleak about the future since the day Stanton was announced as AD.

We need a business man. If he can reestablish relationships with our BMD's and manage the business side of the department he'll be ok. A monkey could figure out Dave needs to go, and he can get a lot of help hiring a new coach.

Get the money flowing and everything thing else follows.

yes I would rather hold out hope vs assume the worst, esp for something that, for me, doesn't extend too far beyond entertainment.

This is entirely a which came first, chicken or egg situation. I am more of the thought that winning and excitement around the product will take care of fundraising. Mark my words, the bottom just fell out of Baylor's fundraising and they don't have the competence to realize it.

OK, so South Dakota State won the national title in 2022, which was Stiegelmeier's last season. He coached there for 26 years. NDSU was the FCS bully for quite a while but SDSU ramped it up at the end of his tenure.

Rogers took over and won the FCS championship in 2023, with most of 2022's team returning. There was some drop off in 2024 as expected but they still did really well.

So rogers had a total of 2 years of HC experience when WSU hired him. A pretty big risk, but considering they were left out in the cold, a risk worth taking.

Not sure how 1 year with a 6-6 record at WSU lands him the ISU job, but hey what do I know? Maybe ISU scores and he does well there.

After speaking with someone who spoke to a couple of BU staff members a few weeks back, yes, I did read Coach Hall's money bags post incorrectly.

He was not saying tech bought their championship. He was saying it takes money to win a championship.

He was not be a hypocrite but restating what he has said before.
