My sources in Waco tell me the husband found out and went straight to the Waco Tribune. Bypassed Baylor completely. Baylor was forced to act quickly.

And yet no story has come out about it? I would have thought they would have put it out immediately.

This post is based primarily on matters of public record found in the Harvey Report (the weekly summary of all matters filed with the County Clerk/District Clerk). The Harvey Report lists such matters as real estate closings, tax liens, mechanics & materialmen's liens, bankruptcies, probate filings, powers of attorney and divorce filings).
The alleged paramour is shown as having filed for divorce the week of Nov 10-14. The petitioner (i.e., the one filing for divorce) is listed first. Her name is listed first. Filings are usually listed in chronological order (i.e., ones filed on Monday at the top of the list, on Friday at the end); this filing appears to be the 13th of 24 divorce petitions that week. I would assume then that the petition likely was filed on Wednesday Nov 12 or Thursday Nov 13.
The OutKick report on Mack's sideline confrontations came out on Friday Nov 7. I found a post in a thread on here where a posted commented on seeing Mack on ESPN discussing the CFP rankings released on Tuesday Nov 11, and how haggard he looked.
The BU press release stating he was taking a personal leave of absence was released the morning of Thursday Nov 13, stating the LOA was effective Nov 12. Mack's resignation was made official on Thursday Nov 20.
Now, to discuss matters not in the public record. I too had heard that the cuckolded husband was the one who blew the lid off the matter. Whether (1) he threatened to go to the press, and Mack/BU acted to prevent that, or (2) he went to the press and the press declined to pursue the matter after the LOA/resignation because divorces/affairs are more of a personal matter, with facts that are hard to verify, one may never quite know.

Good lord almighty, the man torched his own family, his own career, his employer, and someone else's family...while he was at the height of everything...all for the thrill of having a married side piece.
**** all the way off, Mack.

Its an affair. Two scumbags, not just one. The guy above not "outing" the woman, like that's noble. Sure if she has young kids maybe it is. But if not, who cares, she's an adulterous lady who betrayed her family and also slept with a married man, betraying another family.
So both parties can be figuratively strung up to dry. He torched his family and her family.
She torched her family and his family.
Affair people are always selfish and scumbags to their families. I only feel sorry for the spouses and the kids.

oh i'm not letting her off the hook at all - and yeah, there's no doubt at all that the families getting torn apart are the most impacted victims here.
That said, Mack also ****ed Baylor up on the timing vis-a-vis any chance of a good coaching change this offseason. The Lord works in mysterious ways, however, and I do believe Doug is a complete upgrade over Mack.

Serious question. Is this grounds for termination at any school other than Baylor? I mean, I can think of 10 other reasons to fire Mac, but seriously his personal affairs or his personal affairs. Morality clause in this contract?

Quote:
Michigan fired coach Sherrone Moore for cause Wednesday after a university investigation that found "credible evidence" he was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
"This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday.
