My sources in Waco tell me the husband found out and went straight to the Waco Tribune. Bypassed Baylor completely. Baylor was forced to act quickly.

I am so glad that Turd Rhoades is gone. Never saw a bigger ego on a jack a$$ like him before.

Then the husband was/is by far the smartest person in the room. I pray for him and his wife and any children they have.

If True: honestly, hell yeah good for him. Mack and the 'lady' can only blame themselves.

This would also totally validate the proposition that the timing was forced on Baylor rather than it being a bungle on Baylor's part as so many have assumed.

But regardless of how this all went down, the radiant silver lining is that I believe Doug is a major upgrade over Mack.

This post is based primarily on matters of public record found in the Harvey Report (the weekly summary of all matters filed with the County Clerk/District Clerk). The Harvey Report lists such matters as real estate closings, tax liens, mechanics & materialmen's liens, bankruptcies, probate filings, powers of attorney and divorce filings).

The alleged paramour is shown as having filed for divorce the week of Nov 10-14. The petitioner (i.e., the one filing for divorce) is listed first. Her name is listed first. Filings are usually listed in chronological order (i.e., ones filed on Monday at the top of the list, on Friday at the end); this filing appears to be the 13th of 24 divorce petitions that week. I would assume then that the petition likely was filed on Wednesday Nov 12 or Thursday Nov 13.

The OutKick report on Mack's sideline confrontations came out on Friday Nov 7. I found a post in a thread on here where a posted commented on seeing Mack on ESPN discussing the CFP rankings released on Tuesday Nov 11, and how haggard he looked.

The BU press release stating he was taking a personal leave of absence was released the morning of Thursday Nov 13, stating the LOA was effective Nov 12. Mack's resignation was made official on Thursday Nov 20.

Now, to discuss matters not in the public record. I too had heard that the cuckolded husband was the one who blew the lid off the matter. Whether (1) he threatened to go to the press, and Mack/BU acted to prevent that, or (2) he went to the press and the press declined to pursue the matter after the LOA/resignation because divorces/affairs are more of a personal matter, with facts that are hard to verify, one may never quite know.

I thought this was public knowledge. I guess not. Yeah, Mack had an affair. Since I guess it isn't public, I won't out the affair partner, but my friends who live in Waco were all over it and one of them even knows the woman.

Its an affair. Two scumbags, not just one. There's a guy above in some post not "outing" the woman, like that's noble. Sure if she has young kids maybe it is. But if not, who cares, she's an adulterous lady who betrayed her family and also slept with a married man, betraying another family.

So both parties can be figuratively strung up to dry. He torched his family and her family.
She torched her family and his family.
Affair people are always selfish and scumbags to their families. I only feel sorry for the spouses and the kids.

Yep. Mack's a better hair Mousse salesman or Century 21 agent than he is an AD.

Not sure about the timing issue either way.

If CDA was to be fired, it'd seem like Mack would have been let go as well. He kept doubling down on a coach that was clearly way in over his head. The kool-aid slippers on this board want to pretend that it hasn't been obvious. But it has, CDA showed he was completely lost as a headcoach for his entire tenure.

Anyway, at least we have a new AD. Maybe he'll be better... but he's Linda approved so who knows. This clearly pre picked AD hire shows that Linda did NOT need to extend Aranda, yet she did. Her reasoning is now obviously just an excuse, so clearly keeping CDA is a move that is approved by AD Macnamee. The only way I'd believe otherwise is for him to fire CDA asap, otherwise it's clear that he's just another Mac when it comes to being his own man.

Serious question. Is this grounds for termination at any school other than Baylor? I mean, I can think of 10 other reasons to fire Mac, but seriously his personal affairs or his personal affairs. Morality clause in this contract?

The Mack affair was not with a BU employee (at least according to the posts on this board).

The Michigan coach had an affair with a Michigan staff member, so different circumstances.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47269785/sources-michigan-fires-coach-sherrone-moore-9-3-season

Quote:

Michigan fired coach Sherrone Moore for cause Wednesday after a university investigation that found "credible evidence" he was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

"This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday.

There may be another layer at Michigan. They may be trying to head off further NCAA punishment for the sign stealing scandal. They had self imposed a two day suspension of the coach earlier. Seems like a pattern.

It happened at U of Michigan today. They fired their HC for improper relations with his staff. They claim it violated Code of Conduct so we are not alone, at last.

The irony for us is there are probably many things worse on campus but we fire an adulterous guy simply because he was exposed. They did nothing when he manhandled an assistant coach and player. That's when he should have been fired and things would have worked out better for all of us.
