Baylor (11-8; 1-6) drops a must-win game to TCU (13-7; 3-4) 97-90 at Foster Pavilion. Tounde Yessoufou (21), Isaac Williams (21) and Cam Carr (20) led the Bears in scoring in the loss. Next up for Baylor is a road trip to Cincinnati and West Virginia next week.

Good

  • The crowd was great, given the weather.
  • The team never gave up, despite being down by double digits for most of the second half.
  • Isaac Williams IV and Caden Powell played with a lot of heart and effort all game.
  • I do appreciate what Cam Carr has brought to the table all year. A lot of the burden is on him to initiate the offense.
  • I love Tounde Yessoufou’s work on the offensive glass (and Skillings as well).
  • There was a 37-24 edge on the glass.

Bad

  • James Nnaji is so bad that he can’t even get in the game?
  • Michael Rataj, the highest-paid NIL player in Baylor basketball history, continues to trend worse.
  • The 17 turnovers were a killer.

Ugly

  • 120 minutes were enough for that game. 156 minutes is borderline cruel.
  • 79 free throw attempts. Who doesn’t love a good free-throw shooting exhibition?
  • This team, it is not fun to watch. A good defensive team ties them up in knots.
