Baylor rising sophomore EDGE Kamauryn Morgan plans to enter the transfer portal, according to On3’s transfer tracker.

As a true freshman, Morgan collected six tackles and one quarterback hurry across 10 games. He totaled 125 snaps on the season, with a season-high 21 snaps coming against Houston in the final game of the year on Nov. 29.

Morgan was a four-star prospect out of South Oak Cliff High School in the 2025 recruiting class; he was rated as the 29th-best EDGE prospect in the country and the 17th-best player in Texas. Morgan was listed as Baylor’s ninth-best defensive commit in program history.

The transfer portal window this offseason runs from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16.

Anyone with two neurons to rub together knew this exodus was going to happen, which means all the reassuring talk from leadership was just more of the incessant whistling past the graveyard.

Not unexpected but still sad to see. Everyone knows Dave is a lame duck....the recruits, the players, everyone. I'm really surprised we got the KState guy. He seems quality.

At what point do teams like BU decide not to pay unproven 4 star freshmen?

Seems like it might be a better investment to follow the Indiana model and pay a guy with 2 years of college game tape that can start.
