I am curious. I always thought a coach answered to the AD, the AD answered to the President of the University, and the President answered to the BOR. Am I correct or not?

That's how it's supposed to work. The BOI is accountable to NO ONE. Then it's a shyte stumble downhill. Reverse Cowgirl got slammed by a volleyball and ever since is full of JOY over less than mediocrity from our failing athletic programs because researching why Judas was such a ba st ard brings billions more revenue in the 12th dimension-apparently.

In other words, Aranda is a mighty fortress in her sight. The cuckold first less-of-a-man agrees, and the AD hasn't any backbone.

What is, is absolutely never what it should be in this scenario.

Don't use FakeBook. Not a Zuckershyte fan. Your mom wants you to take out the trash now and clean the garage like the good z you're supposed to be.

The thing you have to understand about BUG is that he spends 90% of his waking hours blind drunk and posts on SicEm as a way to pass the time between his trips to the liquor store.

a "you live with your mom" retort, plus "FakeBook" plus "Zuckershyte"? ah, maybe you're just the apotheosis of Too Online Boomer.

So why was Dary Stone going directly to coaches telling them who to fire? I guess if I was a Baylor coach I'd tell him to piss off and stop interferring with my job.

IMO you've just addressed one of the issues, and maybe the issue, that really resulted in a certain football coach getting ridden out of town on a rail.

wait this was a Briles thread not an Aranda thread?!

BREAKING NEWS: Board Member/Booster Heavily Involved in Growing the Football Program Will Feel Entitled To A Say In The Program.

That is the axe y'all want to grind right now?

Dary Stone was an important cog in the machine that built McLane Stadium (I believe Drayton would tell you as much):
https://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-ceo/2012/december/adventures-of-dallas-real-estate-executive-dary-stone/
Quote:

Current board chairman Richard Willis, CEO of Navarre Corp., says Stone's varied experiences have benefited Baylor. "He was very good at bringing practical solutions, making sure we were flexible, and educating the board on best practices," Willis says. "And without Dary, we wouldn't have made progress on the stadium. He raised more money for us in six months than we did in four years. He's always willing to fill whatever role the university needs him to fill. I think he'd dig a ditch for us if we asked."

Wild that a bunch of people (the Briles apologists) whose standard line of argument includes "That's the way Big Boy Progrums operate!" (meaning Art did nothing that other big time HCs don't do) then turn around and whine "things shouldn't be that way!" regarding stuff that is absolutely standard operating procedure at every major program (Board members who work heavily on football stuff wanting a say in the football stuff).

Just be consistent "Realists" and be real about everything, or stop the incessant whining about your pet cause.
...

If you want to hate on Dary for a terrible decision, it should be this one:
Quote:

During his tenure, Stone led the effort to hire a new university president--Ken Starr, famous for his independent counsel investigations of then-President Bill Clinton--and the capital campaign for the school's new football stadium. Stone is still involved in that project, which is set to debut in 2014.

That certain coach built that rail out of town. He then hopped on it and rode it right back to high school football.

All he had to do was what Baylor coaches prior to him did with "bad dudes". His ego would not allow him to play the Baylor game by the Baylor rules. And you coach strokers still, a decade later, cling to the robe. Well y'all can cling your way 450 miles NW of Waco and plop down in 5,000 seat Greyhound Stadium and pretend during the Colorado Mesa game that you are teeing up Indiana.
