CBS Sports has released its preseason college football rankings ahead of the 2026 season, and Baylor enters the year with plenty to prove.

The Bears check in at No. 53 nationally, good for 10th in the Big 12. At the top of the conference is Texas Tech, which opens the season ranked No. 8 in the country. BYU follows at No. 16, while Utah comes in at No. 24.

The Big 12 has seven teams ranked inside the nation's top 40, while Iowa State sits at No. 69 as the league's lowest-ranked team.
