Now that the high is over from this past weekend's "buzz saw" performance - how good is ASU really? Are we as good as we looked? I don't know, but the team sure played a complete game on O & D.

We'll know more this weekend. But the 17th will be the real test for both ASU and BU.

ASU runs hot and cold. They had a few good seasons in the PAC. But mainly average. Could play spoiler for sure. Good seasons will oft be followed by fairly mediocre. They were only in the Rose Bowl like twice, I think.

I don't think they're that bad. They'll get to 6-6 7-5 imo
That was the best Baylor's looked in several years. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come and not a 1 off.

BYU running back Martin out 4-6 weeks.

Could be a gametime decision against us.

It's not easy to do what BU did on the road to ASU in a conference game. I don't think they are as bad as BU made them look. Time will tell.

Agreed. I'm not super high on this Arizona State team, but I bet it's a solid bowl team by season's end.

I'd also be willing to bet they don't give up 560 yards and 55 points again to anyone else this season.

That's a huge loss for them. Potentially a ceiling-lowering one.

Tough, tough break for the Cougs.

I think ASU is an above average college football team. They could not have played worse than they did this past weekend. Fumbled kickoff, stupid panic throwaway for an INT, allowed a below average running team to have 2 50+ yd runs. We were the beneficiary. Was similar to the game at OSU in Rhule's one good year.

Best I can tell so far, ASU is a mid-level, 6-6 type team. That win was impressive. Hopefully, as others have said, not a one-off.

Locked on Az St talked about how. they laid an egg last year after a bye week. Not to take.away from bears excellent performance but possibly some level of not being up mentally

I am happier that we beat Kenny Dillingham rather than ASU the players

I think ASU is mid or one spot above the dead middle of the league. We rolled them at home when we were 4 point road dogs. Thats a solid win no matter what. We just need to keep the train rolling and take care of TCU. I think with our d we can handle the frogs bc their offense is awful.

I agree that ASU is likely a middle of the road Big 12 team. We completely dominated them at their home. Also, I think we outplayed Auburn in their house with a QB that was significantly hobbled by his ankle injury. They are a decent but not real good SEC team. If we (especially Lagway) stay pretty healthy I think we beat TCU by at least 10 points and I think that we have a good chance of winning at least 10 games and playing in the conference championship. Health and staying focused with few big mental lapses is the key, I think.

Yep, if this past game's qb showed up against Auburn, we'd have easily won that game by 14.
