Okie seems to be coming alive. The OL is giving Mateer more time (but he still ends up on a UT pretzel) and their D is giving Texas O fits

I would so love to see Texas lose this game. It would be a classic Sark loss and would allow us to listen to him ***** at the end of the season again if his team is left out of the playoff.

Wonder if he's learned how to spell "Texas" yet?

So Florida beats Ole Miss and jumps all the way up to #8, then turns around and loses its next 2 by a combined 47 points including one at home.

SEC! SEC! SEC!

And Tennessee is currently losing to ... Arkansas.

Houston is good. They've got a very good offense and Fritz will fix the defense. They'll be a tough out all year.

Where did I say the suck?
I'm looking at 4 years of data. The guy doesn't beat good teams. Oregons down this year. Yet I'll bet you right now they beat Nebraska?
When Rhule starts beating good teams I'll call him a good coach. Until he does that he's an average coach in my book. And literally all the data points to him being an average coach.

I think you have to look at the program he took over. They hadn't made a bowl game in seven years when he was hired, and he's a guy who builds his programs a certain way.

If you give him time, he'll give you a respectable product. He's proven that at three different schools now -- none of which had any natural advantage over their conference peers.

Arch "checkdown" Manning looks absolutely shook in this second half.

OU's defensive line is the most impressive I've seen all year.

I would root for Al Qaeda over Texas ... especially a Steve Sarkisian-coached Texas team.

All you guys know this stuff more than I do, but when I look at him I don't see NFL QB. I kinda think your comparison to DJ is pretty accurate. Good QBs. Certainly not bad. Just not seeing NFL anytime I've watched Arch.

The biggest difference between Arch and DJ is that Arch has played every game of his career with better talent around him than across the line of scrimmage.

And their offense still almost never looks good for a full game.

Would be funny to see ranked UT, Tenn, and Florida all lose on the same day to teams with .500 or worse records.

That ranked up there with the flutter duck the ArizSt QB threw last week that BU picked off.

Air mailing another open receiver.

Texas RBs run too timidly. Granted, OU's d line is destroying UT's offensive line. But the RBs aren't doing much to help.

OU's D-line is really good. If I actually liked Oklahoma or Venables, I'd say it's a shame they're wasting such a good defense this season. But I don't.

Major league recovery by Arch, hell of a drive.

That was a good drive there by Arch, but that only reinforces the DJ Lagway comparison.

He's capable of being good. He just only does it for spurts. If he was on a less talented team, that would cost him way more than it does.

I hate Houston. I hate Houston because I really wanted us to get Fritz when he was available. We would have been good until he retired and that would have been awhile away.

Cal drives the length of the field to go up on VaTech with 15 sec left. Another James Franklin last minute loss

Duke kicker is hurt, and backup shanks a 30 yard FG to tie. GT survives.

Oregon doesn't get as close as Klopfenstein on the 2pt conversion to tie. Still down 2

Ucla up 17-6 to oregon

Oregon is just not very good this year.

They're getting dominated by UCLA more than they did by Oklahoma State.

They were sure good enough to beat the crap out of our sorry a&& coach. Insert eye roll.

But then again, they all circle USC on their calendar in ways they don't other teams. And they're all ready for SC and have had CLR figured out for some time now.

Teams like Oregon don't give a darn about teams like ucla. They just assume they'll beat them. And then get snuck up on and stung. ucla is not deemed a football school. There are no expectations. And their new coach is making the most of it.

I had a feeling they might win this game. And they just might run the table. Oregon is the toughest team on their schedule this year. Or so we all thought. I'm just surprised how badly Oregon has rolled over for them. In Eugene no less.

This would have been a great year to get some revenge on the Ducks seeing how average they are. But CLR is just so bad as a coach. If he loses to Penn St. he should be fired.

ucla is the new football team in LA, and getting it done with a cheap coach. And we're stuck with this $10 million+ loser. An expensive lesson.

Mateer had a business decision to make (and a life decision). Throw it into the ground or watch as Simmons lifted him into the air and about to throw him 20 yards .

That was a really easy play on which to avoid an intentional grounding call. All he had to do was get that ball closer to his back's feet.

Mateer is just a total clown of a quarterback.
