We all wish it would have worked out. We all wish we were celebrating bowl wins each year together. You are a good man, a follower of Jesus, a man of integrity, someone we can trust. The wins weren't there, and in this cutthroat business that's what success is defined by.

I hope your family is set for life financially, I hope they are proud of your success at becoming a Power 4 head coach. I hope they are proud of the man you are.

I wish Dave had worked out. He's definitely a good man and possesses a lot of character qualities that would have made him a perfect fit for the Baylor head coaching job.

Unfortunately, he could never get the football side figured out after that magical run in 2021.

It's well beyond time to move on, but I do wish him well. He always represented our program with integrity. I hope it works out better for him at his next stop.

I don't wish bad things for him. I do wish he had done better for us over the last 4 years and completely support his dismissal.

I do believe that he is a genuinely good person and do hope the best for him.

What do you mean you Hope he's finally set?!? Baylor will have paid this guy $35 plus Million.
Can you imagine how great it'll be Saturday to NOT see him on the sideline? The weird Frowning Man is gone.

That's where I see him landing. And I agree he would be good at that. He would also be a great guy to have in the field house, just not the head guy in the field house.

He owes Baylor thanks. We owe him nothing. He's received millions for doing a very poor job. He's been very lucky, and should be grateful.

I'm grateful for the men he helped develop and point toward Christ. He served well toward Baylor's ministry of Christian mission. And we are hopeful that his successor will be just as faithful of a steward while also successfully producing championship teams.

Nobody on this forum knows this, but I have many friends at Midway ISD whose kids are on the football team with his son. He's a stud. He's really good. Kids that get picked on at Midway, Aranda's son sticks up for them and stops that stuff cold.

He is such a quality man. His kids reflect his character. He just didn't win enough.

I take absolutely no joy in our parting ways with Dave Aranda. I echo all the sentiments about his outstanding character and many, many admirable qualities. He simply didn't win. He didn't win often enough, and he didn't win the games where he had a chance to get the fanbase on his side and capitalize on positive momentum. A change was needed.
