BREAKING: Baylor lands JUCO OL Johncarlo Valentin
It didn't take long after an official visit to Baylor that ended on Sunday for junior college offensive lineman Johncarlo Valentin (6-5, 330) to give his verbal pledge to Matt Rhule and the staff. Originally of Imhotep Inistitute in Philadelphia, Valentin spent his two years following high school at ASA College in New York.
Valentin committed to the Bears on Sunday Morning before leaving Waco. Valentin announced his commitment over SnapChat by posting a video of McLane Stadium with the title "my new home."
Valentin committed to Baylor over offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Temple and Texas. Valentin was part of Oklahoma's 2016 class where he was ranked a four-star prospect according to the industry average.
The addition of Valentin to Baylor's 2018 class gives Baylor a total of six offensive linemen, joining Jackson Kimble, Ylijaah Hall, Casey Phillips, Princeton Pines and Connor Galvin. Valentin is Baylor's lone junior college prospect in the class.
