A former SEC coach I spoke with said he was like Eddie George. Really physical and hard to bring down. Said he will be nightmare cover in space because he will outrun 95% of LBs with 4.4 speed and run over secondary guys who want no part of fast 240 lbs coming at them.
Me too - thought I read somewhere that is down to around 215...still going to be fun to watch regardless.hodedofome said:Ashley Hodge said:

I thought he's lightened up since coming here?

The negative exists aside the positive.
Coaching and/or an offensive line.Doc Holliday said:
We have some serious athletes. Brewer, Hurd, RB's.
Just need some serious play calling which I currently have no faith in.
Also need an at least adequate O-Line which I fear we're still a year away from having (hope I'm wrong). If the QB is laying flat on his back or running for his life, or if there is nothing but a brick wall in front of the RB's, you can have the equivalent of Earl Campbell in the backfield along with the equivalent of Jerry Rice at WR and it won't matter.Doc Holliday said:

The reality is that if you are a fan of the play calling...you're absolutely spinning reality.Friscobear said:Doc Holliday said:The positive didn't turn into a negative.Friscobear said:

Spin it however you want. You could have just stopped with your first sentence/paragraph, but no, you had to remind everyone for the billionth time that your not a fan of the coaching.
We know.
A healthy o-line is the difference between execution last year and not.Doc Holliday said:

I don't blush easy, but I'll be mighty proud if that o-line does its job.DaveyBear said:
Folks, the key to our season is Valentin. Period.
If he blows up everyone (he can) then we have an O line that will make Milli V blush.
If he is benched and forced into an alternative role, the remainder of our line (offense) is subject to another beat down.
O Lines are what makes the difference, the other stuff is for ESPN!
Hurd is 229 now.hodedofome said:Ashley Hodge said:

You may be disappointed, but you should never be surprised by the negativity on this side of the board.Friscobear said:

I'm just telling the truth. I will be a fan of the coaching if the coaching starts winning games with all this talent.
And to give credit where credit is due...they are great at getting talent so far.
But when it comes to CFB, if you don't have the whole package...you don't win.
