during the facebook broadcast, several players were asked to use an emoji to describe Rhule. Everyone of them picked the angry face.

Im not even going to pretend to know the answer to this as i am many many miles from Waco and have no inside sources. But i was wondering this exact same thing. Full disclosure, im a Briles fan. And im trying to remain a Baylor one. Never in all the years we had Art did i wonder "Do our boys like him? Will they fight for him?" Never. Im watching TCU right now and you can bet your ass those Frogs respect Patterson and hang on his every word. I just dont get that 'feeling' with Rhule. As a former athlete and just a generally amped up guy, i know that feeling of "Hell yes. I will run through a wall for this man!!" I felt it many times with Briles. Even felt it earlier today when they showed Dino celebrating with his team post game. Since Rhules introduction ive never felt it. I hope for his sake and ours im wrong and he wont lose his team.

I was telling my wife on the way home that we were beating the brakes off teams like Duke with basically the same guys we have now. Scheme is everything .

I can't see the relationship being that great. Since Rhule said today of the boos, something to the effect that players will be booed when they don't perform. Note the boos were of Rhule and staff. Not much of a leader and coach there Rhule.

I'm much closer to Waco and have two potentially meaningless anecdotes:

1. Player's parent that personally loves the staff because they're very similar to the way he was coached a long time ago. He played D1 as well at a similar position as his son.

2. Professor that teaches a lot of football players told me last year before the first game that over the summer was the lowest morale he'd ever seen from players. He's continued to tell me somewhat similar things.

On a somewhat unrelated note, one of the OCs told a friend that he wasn't sure where many wins would come from before last season. If the OC knew that and said it before the first game...

You must never have played any sort of organized sport in Texas if you don't associate your coach with anger. I can understand some of the frustration with Rhule but this one is a stretch.
