He's an incredible talent....but this may be an easy decision for GP to cut him loose since he's a senior with only 5 games left in his college career and the Frogs are a game out of last place and this is looking like a throw away season.

Yeah Fatterson, we know your track record. He won't play against Kansas, but if his team was in contention and they were playing a contender, he might hold him out a series. How long before charges get dropped: 3, 2, 1.... Big payday coming her way.

Maybe he'll get the Jett Duffey treatment.

Fat Pat's "tough on discipline" stance doesn't seem so tough when it's discovered this is not Turpin's first brush with domestic violence.

TCU's KaVontae Turpin Has a History of Assault Charges

After it was reported on Monday that TCU star wide receiver KaVontae Turpin was arrested on assault charges, Heartland College Sports has learned that this is not Turpin's first run in with the law.

As you can see below, and in this link, Turpin was arrested in New Mexico back in March at 2:20 am in Las Cruces, also for battery of a family member. That case is still open.

Turpin is one of the most electric return men in all of college football and had a 99-yard kick return for a touchdown in Saturday's 52-27 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, which dropped TCU to 3-4 on the season.

Gary Patterson addressed Turpin's most recent arrested on Monday morning's Big 12 teleconference and said the following.


"He's suspended. Everybody knows how I handle things like this. Anytime we have had a situation show up, my track record usually speaks fo ritself. We are gathering information, but at this point, he won't play against Kansas. We have not received anything as far as information, a police report or anything else he knows about how that all goes. All of it."

Doesn't this guy weigh like .....160 lbs?

He's not beating up anyone in my household. Not proud of it, but even the women weigh more than that.

We'd be reading about a funeral if he tried this in our family.

Uhhh yeah. I (and most other minimally-intelligent beings) can differentiate between indirect student chants and a lazy joke made for the purpose of derogatory the gay community.

I guess the trick will be showing Gary or someone in the program had knowledge of this. We all know they did....but can it be proven or do they have plausible deniability? Bet Gary is giving his cell phone the Urban Meyer treatment right about now.

Obviously Joe Mixon and Stoops survived a similar incident....and it was even caught on tape. I doubt Turpin or Patterson will suffer much for this.
