You can see him calling plays at least on some occasions. He's even taken ownership of some bad play calls. How involved is he in the offense?

He's generally the only coach I see talk to the players during timeouts, so I'm thinking the play calls at least go through him and he adjusts them/changes them sometimes.

Yes he 100% is. Talking to one of the walk on QBs who signal in plays to the offense, Rhule has called the plays since day 1.

Has Rhule not figured out that he is not OC material at all yet? Seriously he would look like a better HC and actually be a better HC if he allowed his OC to do his job or hired a better OC and let him do his job.

I find that crazy and concerning.

If this is true than this is very alarming and would explain a lot. All this time I thought it was Nixon and couldn't understand the inconsistency. Are you sure this is true?

If what the walk on QB told me is true then yes,

I recall watching either a post game press conference or a middle of the week press conference when asked a question about a play call or calls during the previous game and it came across that he was calling the plays. Don't think he does the same with D since Snow is very active and visible on the sidelines. I don't see one of our co-offensive coordinators as active on the sideline as Snow is with D but maybe I've missed it.

Rhule calling the plays is truly disgusting. No wonder he doesn't fire Nixon. He won't let him do anything. Nixon is probably as frustrated as we are.
