3-0 Bears. Rhule told Smoak he likes to win on the last play in the 4th quarter. He doesn't believe in starting fast.
Sounds like a recipe for disaster in the Big 12. And definitely not a way to get into the playoffs.

That is a false statement of what he said. I suggest you listen to the interview again.

Anyone who's been here from BaylorFans.Com should remember that I'm a Texas fan. I won't reiterate my extensive Baylor bona fides, but this is the one game every year where I put Texas first. All imprecations will be cheerfully ignored.

Saying that, I can state that I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen on Saturday. As a Baylor fan, I have no idea how Baylor continues to do just enough to end up on top (recent results notwithstanding). As a Texas fan, I have a fair idea as to why this season has been crummy, but it's likely typical burnt orange colored glasses.

My prediction is that somehow Texas will get 25 players hurt, Chris Miller will get ejected, and Baylor will win at the end by missing their own FG attempt - yet end up scoring a TD off it.

I think every coach would like to win every game on the last play of the 4th qtr...guarantees an undefeated season.

Personally, I would not mind having a 3 score lead at halftime and growing it during the second half. We certainly do not need a nail biter for every game.

They lost by 7 to LSU and by 7 to OU. TCU beat them by 10.

I feel like we win....but I don't expect a blowout....unless they are starting to quit on Herman.

Halfway through the first quarter last Saturday I would have put the Bears over cows by 3-4 touchdowns. Still think the potential is there based on our talent, however, emotions may trump talent and keep this one close. Bears 27-24 in double OT. Sic entitlement U!

If we went 1-11 every year I would be pleased if that 1 win was against Texas. They have the smuggest fans in America. I HATE Texas with a passion.

Since we have fallen asleep for extended periods of time in every game this season, the real question comes down to how many quarters we will fall asleep or become inept. I am just praying it is not consecutive quarters.

If I had to chose between being 1-11 and beating Texas every year and 11-1 and losing to Texas every year, I'd take 11-1 every time . Losing every game but 1 every year would be pathetic and the program would probably shut down. Stupid take 1-11 every year...

It has been so refreshing to see the Bears success this year. Last weeks' game was an absolute GREAT game even though it crushed our hearts at the end. IMO, this weeks' game with the wHorns will be the Baylor coach's MOST IMPORTANT game of his and BU's future.

Most everyone expected OU to win and the Committee was fairly nice to us with our ranking. IF... BU loses against TX any respect will escape Baylor once again, "OU & TX and all the others". Texas is a very average team this year and a loss would be devastating.

Don't beat me up, but I'm scared of the 'Ole Beylur showing up. Yes, TX had an emotional loss, but they have history in their corner and they WILL be ready. They still have a marginal chance of CCG. It would not surprise me if they come out amped up and put up fourteen to seventeen point lead before BU figures out it's time to play. Our emotional loss, especially how the second half transpired, "our" history could possibly be what has happened over the years... No Show.

My heart is on BU, but maaannyyy years of witnessing heartbreak with the Bears I think it'll be a wHorn win.

As I said, IMO, this is the BU's coach's biggest game. This could separate him from all the others including Teaff.

Our team is very disciplined. If the OU loss impacts them in any way, it will be to provide more motivation to play better and not allow Texas to do the same. They don't have nearly as much talent as OU or Baylor. We should blow them out. Probably won't but should.

I'm in the camp of having no idea what to expect in this game. One or both teams could suffer an emotional let down because of last weekend, or one or both teams could be emotionally charged up because of last weekend. BU obviously has the motivation of being able to lock down a spot in the Big 12 title game and beat UT in McLane Stadium for the first time. UT has the motivation of picking up a quality win, taking a big step toward finishing their under achieving season strong, and keeping alive what faint hope of making the conference championship they have. While not being Jalen Hurts, Ellinger still has a lot of similar qualities (RPO threat, ability to extend plays, and the ability to run like a power tailback) and if BU offensive ineptness keeps putting him on the field, UT will wear down our defense and likely win the game. On the other hand, maybe this will finally be the conference game where our offense shows up for 4 quarters (if nothing else, because of injuries the UT defense should be vulnerable) and if so I think we likely take it. I'm just going to watch it and hope we positively bounce back from that huge disappointment against OU.

Any coach who honesty would rather win on the last play of the 4th Q,as Smoak says Rhule said, than cruise to a 45-17 victory, is deranged. With that attitude, Texas 27, Baylor 20.

The Big 12's only hope of having a playoff team this year is if Oklahoma wins out and beats a 1-loss, top 10 ranked Baylor in the Championship game.

The officials will be overwhelmingly on our side and we win by 10.
The officials will always be in favor of OU and UT - they are the big boys. Baylor lost the game, for sure, but the officials made sure OU won. If UT can tackle our defensive lineman like OU did without penalty then we will have a hard game. If they actually call holding on UT - which I don't recall them doing often in past years - then we win by two or three scores.

Here's to seeing a few yellow flags thrown toward the cow.

Maybe Ellinger will throw 3-4 INT's like he did in a game earlier in the season.

Your better likelihood is that Herman still insists on trying to run a power rushing game with his starting RG and TE hurt.

Typical scenario: 1st down: Swing pass or inside zone for 7 yards.
2nd down: HUNH inside zone give (it's always the inside zone on the HUNH option) for a loss of 3.
3rd down: Scramble sack or hopeful sideline pass.
Punt.

I'm OK with Texas doing that for the entire game. They won't get many points that way while we might even get 1-2 defensive scores. I would love to see Grayland get a pick six!
Mr Tulip

If you want an INT, you'll have to wait until Sam targets Malcolm Epps. If Colin Johnson and his 20ft catch radius plays, an INT is unlikely. However, CJ probably still has hamstring issues.

Epps is a mammoth 6'7" 240lb WR. By all measureables, he should be impossible to cover. However, he's glacially slow out of his breaks. His routes look more like big, sloping curves rather than sharp angles. As a result, he's slow to his spot.

Stop it..The officials did not win the game for OU. We flat out laid an egg 2nd half. If we even have one successful drive that ended in any points we win the game.

I'll play:

28-20 Bears

Must put a scout on Elinger, and shut Devronet down (which we have done the last 2 weeks against premier WRs, Reagor and Lamb respectively)
