After suffering a concussion against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game on Dec. 7, Baylor junior quarterback Charlie Brewer has been cleared to play in the Sugar Bowl game on Jan. 1 according to head coach Matt Rhule at the first press conference of the bowl game events on Friday.

Brewer missed at least a week worth of practices while in concussion protocol following the injury against the Sooners and his status has been questionable leading up to Friday.

On the season Brewer has completed 65.1% of his 348 pass attempts for 2,950 yards and 20 touchdowns against six interceptions. Brewer has also added 337 yards on the ground with 10 rushing touchdowns on the season.

No. 7 Baylor and No. 5 Georgia are set to kickoff at 7:45 pm CT on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020. The game will be aired live on ESPN

If there was ANY way Charlie could play, you know he would. The protocol is there to protect the injured player. No shortcuts. No BS. He passes, so Georgia will have to face him ... as well as two very able backups, should they be necessary. May Snow have a perfect plan for dem Dogs ... and may Charlie and company put a hurt on Georgia.

Can't wait to watch it ... at the Dome! Sicem Bears !!!
