Seriously, Rhule did well. He got Baylor back in contention, while it was clear from year one his end goal was to be the NFL.

A dream come true for Rhule, no need to make him more than he was. Baylor was always a temporary destination, and a few folks thought otherwise.

Now go find a great coach, who wants to stay. It will be very difficult.

I think that's the default color for the bridge lighting. My recollection is that they change the colors for special events and holidays, but that shade of blue is what's there the rest of the time.

Can't blame Rhule - they threw the whole farm at him. He'd be a fool to turn it down. Best of luck to him and Sic Em Bears.

If Mack has shown anything over the last few years it's that he always has a plan and is well prepared. We'll be fine.

As only the most knowledgable amongst us suspected (well, we knew), his statements on this interview confirm that Matt Rhule and his agent have been talking to Carolina (and New York) and working things out for weeks......not days. Most likely communications started up right as (or slightly before) the Panthers fired Coach Rivera. That's how any hiring/firing process works. The decision that he was leaving was also most likely made by Rhule (and family) and communicated to Rhoades well before the Sugar Bowl. All of the coaching rhetoric leading up the bowl game from everyone was - well - just that, rhetoric. Its a shame the process goes this way, but its extremely common intended to protect the players and try not to truly distract from the game.

This is how anyone that's interviewed for another job while employed would go about it. You don't walk around telling people at your current job that you are interviewing and might not be here anymore. You tell them only when you have signed on that dotted line and you officially have the other job.
