I think it's already been made and it is the one person who I think will take us back to the Kevin Steele era of football quality. But, I will support him (within reason) as I wait on his replacement in 2 to 3 years.

You big ole Bear. You arejust the kind of fan we need.Krieg said:
Pleased. I never liked Rhule, though, so that's part of it for me. I never trusted him and knew he didn't want to be here long. I think the next guy will want to stick around and I find that aspect exciting.
Spoiled babies in here. Every other school in the world has had a coach leave them, and the first time it happens at Baylor, you say you didn't trust him. Give me a break. Baylor deserves a good coach, but some of you fans don't deserve jack *****Krieg said:

I mean...you started the thread. What exactly did you expect from the responses?EvilTroyAndAbed said:Spoiled babies in here. We can hire Nick Saban or Forrest Gump. It matters not to me. The world will keep turning.Baylor3216 said:

Im With Krieg. Rhule didn't remotely seem sincere, but he served a purpose as a stopgap.Krieg said:

At least this time, we aren't having to replace someone who left under the circumstances CAB did.blackie said:
I just hope whoever it is, it doesn't create the angst here between posters that you find on the R&P board. But, I am sure it will. It seems posters here split as much as the Reps and Dems.
Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I was 'on board' with Rhule. But I met a player after Year 1 and he apologized profusely about the Liberty game and I had to tell him his coach, "Snow" had skins on the wall and was good. And I believed that, because he made me kick myself for thinking Ariz State would lose to Nebraska! I really believed they'd be fine, and they were.blackie said:

Other than Phil Snow, who I think is a badass, I just did t see the value in Rhule.EvilTroyAndAbed said:Spoiled babies in here. - I don't think Rhule would have had a good season next year
- I think Rhule was gone no matter what. Might as well do it while the program is shining bright
- I'm optimistic we can get someone that knows how to recruit in Texas. Rhule was absolutely horrible at this. And don't tell me bad athletes are more coachable than good athletes.
- If we don't get the hire we want right now our program can survive 2-3 bad seasons and get the hire we want
Other than this recruiting class (which one reason it was was lower because we took fewer players), his other classes were ranked pretty high in the conference. You make it sound like he was just a crap recruiter, which he wasn't and actually helped with the rebuild.clubhi said:
