Players and fans love it...admins hate it.

Whenever I want to think of something funny I imagine the reaction of our fanbase to the Baylor band playing that chant.

While we could do with something less crass, coming up with new traditions and ideas to get the crowd involved should be welcomed.

It's apparently caught on with even the blue hairs based on what I saw last night. What will they do when the students whip it out next year while chanting? I mean this is the school that gave us the "FU Tebow" chant loud and clear.

Pretty much everybody who understands what classy means would agree that he is in fact correct, the chant is classless. It's a fact as much as is possible with that word anyway. Maybe you should ask yourself, why it bothers you so much when something that is so obviously classless is called for what it is? It's totally classless, yet funny at the same time.

Personally I'm not offended so much by the content of the added lyrics but it flows better without the "*****" at the end. I guess they have to differentiate between Grambling tho.

The song "Neck" has been banned at LSU for many years. Not sure how they got away with playing it at the Championship. Prior to students changing the lyrics, this song would get the whole stadium rocking!!

I remember when the UT band director ordered the band to stop the Beat The Hell Outta OU. That was in the 60's. Then it was OU sucks. That was the 70's. Wisconsin and LSU students were the first to be heard on national tv using the F Bomb.

Now we have brought the ghetto to the stadium with Neck complete with pelvic thrusts.

It is sad to me to see a game require such vulgarity. With the need to outdo one another I can only imagine what comes next. Where do you draw the line? I realize you cannot draw a line with today's society.

Jokerman's youngest is on drum line at Northwestern St., and they traveled to LSU this year. Knowing that LSU bands could not play "Neck," the NSU band had prepared, and summarily executed the song to kind of gig the LSU folk. He told me that NSU risked being fined for it.
That said. LSU kicked the living excrement out of the Demons. And my son (whose father grew up in La., but has never really been exposed to La. "culture" until moving to Natchitoches this fall) learned some new words and phrases that night, which cannot be repeated on a family web site like SicEm365.

Yep, it is disappointing that the fans enjoy and encourage needless public vulgarity for a "family friendly" college sport. Not surprising though.

Also, it's LSU, so you can't really expect much from that crowd. Of course now, it'll spread a bit faster because of the publicity, college kids love the shock factor.

In the sixties LSU and Arkansas fans were known to spit on the other teams and their fans. Apparently Tiger fans have remained classless.

Ehh society isn't as bad as it gets credit for. In the US crime, violence and teen pregnancies are at all time lows. Divorce rates plummeting. Globally literacy, life expectancy and quality of life are at all time highs.

Let the kids say a couple bad words. They'll grow out of it.

My favorite LSU band tradition is the Chinese Bandits theme after a third down stop while the fans do the Wayne's World "we're not worthy" bow.

I've always wanted to have a better celebration for the defense. Some old timers might be able to confirm or deny that BUGWB used to play a couple of bars of "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" after a big stop. I'd be cool with bringing that or any modern version thereof.
