Easy fix. Admit the mistake. Fire Fedora. Bring in real O coach. COVID year. All good. Move on.
UPDATE: we're in hell.BrutalBear said:
We've been blessed with coaches that scheme for the talent they have. Fedora is doing the opposite trying to shoehorn this talent into a system come hell or high water.

I agree Brewers arm is not what is was a year ago, but that being said it's still pretty darn good. Why run him all the time and risk injury. Not a big fan of our back up QB, Bohanon. He still needs time. Plus he is a running QB
You need a duel threat QB to compete with OU and OSU. Or even ugh UT.
Possibly because the previous staff allowed him to be concussed over and over and over until the official had to remove him from the game?Bears B said:
We should have thought about trying to keep previous coordinator. We threw for 280 in 2017 and 290 a game in 2018. Took a little dip in 2019 when Charlie got hurt. Disappointing Charlie was Big 12 Freshmen of year with previous staff and now looks like a shell of himself.
Or, looking at with what we have seen from Charlie in the past, Charlie looks bad because Fedora does not understand how to use him.Timbear said:
Hey, Bear 75605, with Your Criteria, CB wouldn't last a Q. I don't care if the young guys make mistakes. We'll be building for the future. Fedora's O is not as bad as CB makes it look.

Could be, Old Bear, but until CB learns to go through at least 2 progressions, use his eyes and head to look off the DB's, have a quicker release, make quicker decisions, quit double pumping until it's too late, I don't know.
I know better than to ask Ramsey for his opinion on my meals. The Hound said:Oldbear83 said:Or, looking at with what we have seen from Charlie in the past, Charlie looks bad because Fedora does not understand how to use him.Timbear said:

You can't hand Gordon Ramsay a package of hotdogs and a celery stalk and expect him to make a fine meal and then claim that he just doesn't know how to use the ingredients you gave him when he fails
It's hilarious how much this fan base blames a successful previous staff for this current unsuccessful staff's failures. The Hound said:Timbear said:

One could argue that those are all bad habits that the old staff let him develop or at least didn't correct.
Especially considering that Charlie's regression this season has been matched by virtually every other player on our offensive unit.chorne68 said:
Charlie went from a very good quarterback to below average in one year. I do not blame Charlie. Look at offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
This staff isn't Steele bad, but it also has far better talent than Steele's bunch ever had to work with. It's hard to imagine any offensive staff doing much worse than this one has with the players it has.PartyBear said:
Charlie to be quite honest about it was not taken very well care of by the last staff. He had a few concussions and was still played last season. He was one of their tickets out of here and they rode him. If I recall correctly prior to this year's Kansas game we last saw Charlie unconscious for a few minutes on the sideline of the Sugar Bowl in the 4th Q. I think a lot of that has to do with Charlie in 2020.
Furthermore when I see things written here such as this thread title. It always makes me think how the passage of time and fuzzying up of memories over that time for many here has done wonders for Steele and staff.

How did Aranda even hire Fedora. Carolina fired him. Ugh.
Trust me in no way am I heaping the entire blame on Charlie. I do think that Fedora is largely to blame. Maybe the other 2 quarterbacks are not on Charlie's level? Was Charlie better than Anu Solomon, Zach Smith, or Jalan McClendon? Don't know till you see it in the actual game!! It could be that you shake up the rhythm or create an increased level of energy (i.e. 2017 West Virginia). In addition, these are 2 totally different style quarterbacks that the opposition has seen NO game footage on. That alone may disrupt the opponent's defensive scheme. Who knows we might just find some magic. Could it hurt at this point?????Oldbear83 said:Or, looking at with what we have seen from Charlie in the past, Charlie looks bad because Fedora does not understand how to use him.Timbear said:
