NIL will make it so small to medium schools cannot keep up

It's possible this could ruin some schools programs more than anticipated. How many highly rated players don't pan out in the NFL after they've made big money.

The challenge will be not with the high school students but the transfers. A promising kid does well at a smaller school then immediately transfers to a big school for a big payday. The only way to counter that is to make scholarships contracts that last 4 years instead of year to year. Griffin would have got PAID after his freshman year at Baylor to go to UT.

I'm wondering how NIL and the move to possible super conference might affect the overall pool of high school players. Would the number go up, stay same or drop? Less football players means less football being played. Can teams left out of NIL and super conference still entice enough quality players to deliver a decent on field product that people would want to watch?

I don't know if it will have that significant of an impact. Those teams that would be in a hypothetical super conference are already the teams getting the best recruits now. There is obviously a hard limit on how many players can start and how many can even be on the roster.

There should still be quality players left for schools outside the super conference to get like like there is currently. Schools outside of the super conference would still be able to do NIL also, just most likely at a lesser level.
