The Bears and Longhorns met for the 111th game in the series and here are the things which stood out during the game.
- Terrible read or just a forced throw by Gerry Bohanon in the first series allowing Texas to take momentum and get on the board first following the interception
- Baylor responds and uses some trickeration with a pass from Tyquan Thornton to RJ Sneed
- Terrel Bernard gets there and Siaki Ika finishes off the sack
- Hankins gives Baylor the lead after an alert Xavier Newman falls on a fumble behind the line of scrimmage in the series
- Welp, that was a busted coverage with McVea releasing to Kalon Barnes who stopped on the out
- Great play on the ball on the 4th down attempt by Alfahiym Walcott
- Not sure about a wide pitch on 4th and 1 and Baylor gives it back on down
- Big play by Dillon Doyle to force a fumble which is recovered by Jalen Pitre
- Gerry Bohanon having a hard time reading coverages today on his second interception
- Baylor needed a stop to start the second half but gave up an almost 7 minute drive to go down 10-21
- Methodical drive and Baylor is back to within 4 at 17-21 on the Bohanon run from the 7
- Baylor gets to the punter and ball but it squirts through for 30 yards for Baylor to take over at the 20
- You can only contain Ben Sims for so long
- When you go for the fake punt, the punter running usually doesn’t work out well
- Abram Smith with the great touchdown run to go up 31--21
- Baylor up 31-24 with 4:47 to go and needing first downs to finish the game
- Got a bit cute on the jet sweep attempt and the loss gives Texas a chance at the tie
- Baylor’s defense forces a 4 and out and will kneel out the victory
- 7-1 is better than 4-4
