I get that. I would prefer to rise above that kind of pettiness. And there is no certainty that it will hurt Baylor. The new Big 12 is already looking pretty good & may end up a better conference in the long run.

Oh they absolutely chanted overrated when we scored early in the 4th quarter.

Our current batch of students are idiots. I don't know what's going on or if it's just the demographics we have enrolling, but our student section from 2010-2015 was way more savvy than the current group.

But you're right. That's the dumbest chant in sports.

The overrated chant is certainly not unique to Baylor. And it's not just students doing it.

UT and OU deserve all the scorn they can receive. They deserve it for obvious reasons. And OU was overrated. To me it's saying we beat a team we should have.

I'd prefer Big 12 chants. Chanting SEC is weak and petty. Better to remind them how strong the Big 12 is. I mean they left (partly) for better competition, but they can't win here, either.

After watching the body language of the ut players and fans after we started chanting in that game I realized it's the worst thing we can possibly do to their morale.

That's exactly why it needs to be done. Ruin them as much as possible on the way out. Make them hate everything about being here and hopefully they pay up and leave early.

it may be dumb by logic standards, but the chant is meant to mess with their players. And for entitled 4 star+ players, it probably does exactly that.

Every school Does it. Heard it multiple times Saturday across the nation

The loudest chant Saturday was "Let's Go Brandon" in the Georgia-Tennessee game.

The SEC chants have a double meaning to me. One is mocking them for thinking they are our betters; two is to mock the fact that mediocre SEC teams have to chant SEC to feel better about themselves. Chanting Big 12 is not a thing, will never be a thing and shouldn't be a thing. The overrated chant is not imaginative, but I don't think its self-deprecating either. Just another way to say, you suck. I would have preferred some chants mocking the annoying Boomer chants.
