Saw they got reprimanded by the BigXII office and suspended for the OkSt game.

I'm guessing they crossed the line griping about officiating.

I have never heard a crew ***** and moan and complain that much..it was every other play they were accusing the refs of favoring ISU

Ive been around Dave South...these guys were ten times worse.

They were right. Officiating in that game was terrible.

I don't know if it was any one thing, but it was easily the most unprofessional radio broadcast I've ever heard. I don't know if they're always like that, but if I was a Tech fan I'd have brought out the pitchforks long before.

I haven't heard a word they said. But who cares? It was a friggin TT radio broadcast. Is there really an authority that says they can't say what they want to say? Was it profane?

Makes sense. PBP guy Brian Jensen spent years as Dale Hansen's understudy at WFAA, so he obviously learned how to be an *sshole from the Master.

Apparently called out the officials by name. According to John Harris, Tech has never had a penalty, interception, tackle for loss or any other misfortune that wasn't due to officials cheating, dirty play by the other team,etc.

There is precedent..I think I remember Dave South or some Aggie broadcaster getting ejected during a SWC tourney game because the official could hear him on the air criticizing him.

I haven't seen a Jensen reference in probably 25 years. He fell off the face of the earth, going from the #1 channel in DFW at the time to the South Plains.

His mannerisms on the air emulated Dale Hansen in every way. Not sure why or how that got sideways and he skipped town.

I've also listened to the TTech dudes. This is not totally out of character for them. Full-blown homers.

I'm in the minority I guess since I've always thought their announcing team was pretty good. The few times I've heard them against Baylor they were pretty fair and balanced.

In my opinion for them to go off like that they had to have had a reason. I heard the officiating in that game was beyond terrible but haven't seen any of the calls on video. Apparently there was an obvious non-interception for ISU that was not reviewed and gave ISU the ball, then when the same thing happened for Tech the officials reviewed it. This apparently happened a number of times throughout the game reversing a number of calls that benefitted Tech but not even reviewing similar plays for ISU. The guy who told me this said Tech's coach (I'm not even sure who's leading their team right now) even called timeouts to get a review and the officials ignored him. And of course they showed these plays close up on their Jumbotron so the fans were really pissed off, and when one of the student sections was yelling not-so-nice things to the refs and someone threw an empty water bottle the refs cleared out the student section.

Sounds like they had every right to be pissed off. Regardless, I don't think the Big 12 has the leeway to fire their announcers for a week and last I heard Tech was planning to let them do the telecast. Get the popcorn out.

1) Where is it written that the school's radio announcers can't be total homers? They totally should be. If that's not what you want, tune in to the other team's radio crew.

2) I'd love to hear JMo go off on some officiating, there have been plenty of opportunities.

3) The officiating was horrible at the Tech/ISU game and vastly favored ISU.

4) B12 officiating has been horrible for a long time.

5) Throwing bottles at players/coaches/officials is never acceptable and totally low class, so to be expected at Tech.
