This is a United Press Telephoto titled 21 April 1957 Waco, Texas showing the effects of some the Brazos River flooding caused by over 6 inches of rain the day before. Found on eBay, the photographer is unknown. They misspelled "McLennan County" in the article.

That is a cool picture. I am wondering what searches you do on eBay, because I have never had anything like that show up.

From the caption that is downstream, probably in the Downsville area. The low water dam built (and rebuilt, and rebuilt) just below LaSalle helps prevent that from recurring these days.

McClellan? Maybe they thought our predecessors named the county after a failed Union Army general.

Fired twice by Lincoln as a general and also failed to beat his boss in the 1864 election.....he would fit right in with today's DC crowd.
