Who has the best poke bowls in Waco? Will be in town tomorrow and curious if any worthwhile places to try. Thanks in advance.

J-petal is fine. depending on what you are used to, there isn't great seafood/sushi in waco.

I think J Petal is actually quite good. We have 4 or 5 poke places in Southlake none of which are as good as J Petal.

How fresh is the tuna?

Ended up getting late start from Houston so grabbed something in CS. J petal seems to be the poke spot in Waco.

You can usually tell by the date on the top of the can.

I love Waco, but eating raw fish there……….nope.

I'm not going to say 'great' but Hokkaido has some pretty good sushi.

Poke is also the name of a dessert made from ripe bananas and arrowroot on the Sandwich Islands. Out of curiosity, we made it once. Gelatinous as all get out, but when you are stuck on a pacific island without a Crumble Cookie location, I'm sure it is pretty good.
