Robinson, TX (FOX 44) Amazon announced it would be expanding its Central Texas footprint with a new facility planned for the City of Robinson.

The 119,000-square-foot delivery station will be located along John Bowden Parkway. It will serve as a "last-mile" site, designed to help speed up deliveries across Robinson and the greater Waco area.

This marks Amazon's second location in the region, following the 2022 opening of its robotic fulfillment center in Waco. The project is expected to bring new jobs and continued economic growth to the area.

John Bowden Parkway is the new road they built across I35 from Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest. Area near the hopeful Costco.

Just tell me when we're going to get Amazon Fresh, and normal same day deliveries.

I wouldn't be surprised with how much amazon is investing into Waco. It's a good test market for a lot of comapnies.

The Costco that has been rumored for several years now?

That location along 35 and 6 is perfect spot for development. Probably need a road that goes from the new one to highway 6 though

I always find it interesting with Amazon how they build new facilities all over and then after the fact they don't need it and let it sit empty until they do. There is one that has been empty for a few years now in South Fort Worth (it might actually be outside city limits) and Waco is getting a second one.

After posting I saw a story on the KWTX site with video showing it drop a package off in someone's yard. It was lower but still about 5 or 6 feet up and dropping it in the middle of the front yard. Another showed it down to maybe 4 feet in the backyard.

Either way it is still being dropped. I have had way too many packages delivered where they put one piece of that packing paper in there and the item would have moved a ton being dropped like that.

In the yard is the worst placement. Begging to be stolen in the front yard. And in the back for dogs (for people that have them) to mess with or be forgotten for days.
