Has anyone tried Chilaquiles in Woodway, the new Mexican restaurant? I've heard a few good reports.

Didn't realize it was open as the place is still wrapped in the streets of Italy. I saw the sign up front but figured it wouldn't open with the wrap on it.

I went 3x last week. I'm a big fan, but I also have a really high floor for Tex-Mex. I like everywhere.
I like it and it's right around the corner from our house. I've had enchiladas and the breakfast burrito and I like everything I've had. My wife had the fajitas and thought they were really good.
It's the right mix of local (which I like) and nice on the inside (which she likes). Our waitress the first day said that one of the owners is a partner in Hecho en Waco downtown.
Great lunch specials and the breakfast is pretty cheap. They also have a drive thru for takeout.

We ate there last night. They are best Mexican food south of highway 6. First the basics. Community brand ice tea always good, they make their own flour tortillas, salsa not amazing, but decent. Beans good, rice needs more flavor. Meats tender and sauces are decent. Overall above average fresh food. Great option for dinner if you don't want to drive into Waco. Not a ton of seating if it did get popular for family dinners in this area.
Marina's with their fresh made corn and flour tortillas and other from-scratch flavors is still the clear favorite for breakfast. Maria Mezcaleria has better chips, salsas, sauces and elevated dishes.
Really miss Cultura Ma. Their truck is good, but not as good as when they had a full kitchen to work with.
