Sports is about winning games. Sometimes you lose though. When you lose it's bad. When you lose a lot in a row it's really bad. Those are the tough times. It's arguably better when you win.

Keeps us honest. Teaches coaches a painful lesson. Teaches fans not to get too cocky arrogant. Being humbled is motivated to excel.

I too feel like we will be better for this next year. I expect a large roster change for next year.

I was afraid our Men's basketball team would come to this. Coach Drew has always developed his teams via young transfers from smaller schools or JUCOs and redshirting select Freshman. Yes, our Natty completely changed the landscape of our basketball program and we should all be grateful for that. *** cough cough TCU....still no significant recent natty*** end of cough. Sorry Frogs for your night tonight.

Yes, Keyonte was a huge recruiting win, but why is he already anointed a Top 10 NBA pick??? He needs to stay for 1 more year. We have him, a few veterans and and then a mish-mash of transfers. Look at Kentucky and Duke that are barely Top 25 teams and the model they have followed and they are mediocre programs now.

We are out of the Top 25 and 0-3 in the Big 12. I hope CSD can get this team united and figure things out by March. I believe he can and we will all be excited come March.

Like I said in another thread, I am just looking forward to the out-of-nowhere blow out win when this team gets pissed and rolling and the other team can't stop them.

Unfortunately, it's probably coming in the next few games against weaker teams.

65 weeks. Final poll in 2018-19 was the last time. Only Gonzaga had a longer streak.

BTW: the women also have the 2nd longest top 25 streak, behind only UConn.

We will go on a run this year. Might be painful sitting or moving some players with their heart set on things but at least we gave them the chance. We will finish strong, book it

Ask Job. But first it might be worthwhile to consider who is "good" & who isn't. Our standards may not be accurate.

Keyonte has been anointed a probable top 10 pick probably for similar reasons that Jeremy Sochan was last year. We know how that ended.

While we all would like to have him another year, that's not going to happen.

Hope he averages 30 ppg the rest of the way and is a top 10 pick.

...for his sake and ours!

He's "anointed" a top 10 pick because of his play. I'd love to keep him another year, but despite team wins and losses, he's showing out for scouts. He's gonna be a high pick.

Yeah, there's no prayer of Keyonte coming back for a second year.

All of the elite-ish freshmen we've had that have either stayed a second year (or should have in the case of Quincy Miller and Kendall Brown) had significant holes in their game as freshmen that caused their stock to drop. George has no such holes.

His tools are absolutely elite. He's not a finished product by a long stretch, and he likely never will be as a Baylor Bear. But there's nothing you can point to in his game (other than defense, which will get fixed in the NBA) that will keep him from thriving at the next level.

We just need to hope that this recent surge we've seen is the new normal for him and try to get as far as we can in our one year with him. Because he'll be a lottery pick and playing in another team's uniform this time next year.

Not quite time yet, but if we win our next two, it might be time to start posting receipts from some of the "sky is falling" fans after the TCU game.

I love Baylor fans, I truly do. But we don't know basketball.

I think so, too. Just don't want to get ahead of myself. Too much settling for contested jumpers in the second half last night for my liking, but I bet we get that fixed.

I wasn't jumping off the ship after the conference start, but I can certainly understand the doubters after an 0-3 start. I think any fanbase would question how good their team is after an 0-3 start in conference, regardless of their basketball knowledge.

We needed to make changes (transition d and working it inside on offense) and Bridges or one of the others had to step up or it was going to be a rough year. No one was wrong about that. But those changes seem to have occurred and we're in an okay position.

Same with Bridges. He was not good early on. He is playing much better now.

I never doubt Scott Drew's ability to coach or develop a team to its full potential, but I did question this team's personnel and roster composition.

Fortunately, Cryer's return has had the impact I had hoped it would, Bridges is giving this team the forward presence it needed on both ends and Love has emerged as a strong secondary scoring option. Those things have all deepened our rotation dramatically. And just as importantly, they've allowed our role players like Flo, Josh and Lohner to play their roles without fear of being overexposed.

This is a different team than it was when we were sitting at 0-3. But we probably should have been more patient given all the moving parts.

I still think we have deficiencies on the defensive end that will never be solved, per se. But we're doing a much better job of masking them now than we were our first 15 games.

This was driving me crazy. Too many trips down the floor it seemed like we just ended up with one or two guys dribbling around the top of the arc trying to fire off a contested 3.

Flagler and Love did have a few nice drives to the paint where they broke their man down. Hopefully, we can up the frequency on that.

I'm a bit concerned with Caleb with the t Rex arms swatting and flailing trying to get a put back that never happens. Be better if he grabs the rebound and throws it back out like Flo did all champ year.

And yet two of those losses were by a total of 3 points and one in OT. When games are decided that closely, I don't think major program questions should be asked.

Now, the Virginia, Marquette and Iowa State losses, I'm with you. But I'm not hanging the KSU or TCU losses to roster composition or player development. A couple of shots didn't fall against two really good teams.

I don't think many were asking major program questions. The usual suspects may have been, but any concern most had was confined to this particular team and this particular season.

What also strikes me as different is our transition defense. Kansas likes to run but they didn't get the easy layups Marquette, TCU, and ISU got. I think our team figured out level of effort required
