You should realistically aim a bit lower.

Agreed. If this team makes it to the second weekend, I'm happy.

I just don't think they are a fit for each other. Depending on who we play will depend on who plays well. A taller guard that puts pressure on Cryer will quiet him. A high pressure guard that pushes Flagler further from the rim hurts him. He is not a great ball handler. Personally, I think George has the best chance to get to the rim. If Cryer and Flagler will wait for that kick out, then we would be rolling.

Love can also take the ball to the rim but he has been hurt.

Bonner is a good defensive player. That's it.

We have some great guards but I don't think they are compliment each other well.

Unfortunately that is a realistic appraisal. It would be wonderful if we could expect an Elite 8 but they would have to play like t try hey did vs Gonzaga & Kansas in the tournament to get there & still have a lot of luck. I don't see that happening for that many consecutive games. Also, our seed won't be all that great which will make it more difficult.

We've got quite a bit of season left and we're probably looking at a 4 seed barring a collapse.

I love the fact that we no longer celebrate making the tourney but now talk about not getting great seeding.

Watching BU try to be competitive in a rodeo arena is just a distant memory.

The price or rewards of success, depending on one's take.

To piggyback on the rodeo arena disadvantage,we also paid below market salaries for coaches.

I would say the same any season. Nothing is guaranteed no matter how high your team is seeded.

I would have said the same regarding Flagler prior to this season, but he has transformed himself into an excellent college PG. His handle is not at an Akinjo, Davion, or Butler level but is more than adequate.

100%. I was around during the Harry Miller and Dave Bliss programs. Back then I would have celebrated an NIT birth. I hope our younger fans never take for granted the program CSD has put in place.

Unfortunately it is human nature to take for granted high levels of success that continues year after year. Just look at the whining over the football program having an off year. Or WBB not dominating the Big 12 as we did for a decade.
